No I think it is more orange than red. Sorry

Cheri (jovali2) Hi, Bluemoon, I have finished the task and just wanted to thank you for setting it up so well. It's a good task -- on theme, some but not too much effort to find appropriate books, and there are many available for all kinds of interests. Two things I especially appreciated: 1) That the page limit was for the total of the 3 books rather than 350 pages for each book. 2) The way you maintained your help thread, posting approved books at the top. Thank you!

Yes on my monitor it looks like there are shades of blue on the wall.

Hi, is this purple enough for Oceania? I'm not sure if it's just optimism on my part or whether it really is a shade of purple.

Lindsey (_lindsey_) | 498 comments Just wanted to check on these cover's colorings. I'm linking to Audible's editions, since these are the editions I will be using.

Europe (blue): http://www.audible.com/pd/Mysteries-T...

North America (yellow): http://www.audible.com/pd/Sci-Fi-Fant...

Australia (purple - there's some on the right edge of the burst and looks like some purple lettering too): http://www.audible.com/pd/Fiction/Big...

Thanks!

Sandi Barnes | 550 comments Hi Bluemoon,

Just to let you know so you can remove it from the approved section of post #2 -- My Sweet Saga (approved in message #59 -- https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... ) did not end up being set predominately in Sweden. Approximately 30% of book was in Sweden and the other 70% in the United States or in the air between the two. Guess I will be using it for my 'Have another beer' task ;-)

I have not read this book. Setting on GR says it is set in the US and the Dominican Republic. If at least 50% is in the US it will work.

message 234: by Andy (new)

Andy Plonka (plonkaac) | 4207 comments I have just finished reading The Steady Running of the Hour by Justin Go by Justin Go and can attest to the fact that well over 50% of the book takes place in Europe, mostly England, France, Sweden and Germany with a trip to Iceland thrown in. Most of the bits about Mt. Everest which is in Asia are found in letters that the main protagonist finds in Germany in his search to prove he is the legitimate heir to a substantial fortune. In addition there are maps of Europe on the inside of the covers both front and back and several blurbs by authors mention Europe or England as the setting for the book. Could I please have this book approved for Europe, since it has a blue cover and is by a first time author, which, by definition, is new to me?
Thanks

Awfully difficult if you're colour blind (but could be a funny book in itself)

are these acceptable for 50.1

I am reading the folowing book for Europe because of the blue house on the right- but I wanted to make doubly sure it was enough blue :-)

I am not seeing yellow on The Art Forger by B.A. Shapiro so that one is a no.

The other two work.

I am not really seeing any orange on River God (Anciet Egypt, #1) by Wilbur Smith so that is a no.

Marie-Anne | 950 comments Is there enough yellow in this cover for North America in Dire Threads (Threadville Mystery, #1) by Janet Bolin ? From looking at the "approved" covers, I think so, but the yellow color is not as bright in the GR image. The house in the center is painted yellow (the one with the green roof), and the sand on the beach and one of the side walks is also yellow.
Thanks!
