It makes me feel old to admit it, but it's driving me nuts. Is it raised clown eyebrows? Or possibly: I like you, so let's pitch our tents next to each other? (And before anyone mentions it, I don't mean "pitch tents" in that sense of the phrase.)

I think it's supposed to be two smiling closed eyes.I don't really know either, just guessing based on its usage. But don't feel old, I'm pretty sure it has more to do with being dorky than with being old.
I'm glad the mystery has been solved because I've been wondering what ^^ meant. Now can someone please explain what T___T means? I don't even want to make a guess.
It's crying... the horizontal part of the T is the eye, and the vertical line is the tear. So two eyes with tears separated by a straight-line mouth.I guess that makes me dorky.
I don't see that at all. Why don't people just go old school and type a :( followed by a "boo hoo" or something?I thought it had to be a word that started and ended with a T. Guess I was way off. :(
You still don't see it??? It's like manga! Hmmmm... now I feel even older and dorkier than I did before. I just don't understand how you can possibly be missing the eyes and the tears rolling down. It's practically animated, for pete's sake!T__T
Translation follows:
:( cries unendingly. Then gets slinkied.
Nope - I'm staring at it and I still don't see it. But I can't see the hidden dinosaur in those optical illusion posters - you know the ones I'm talking about? Where it just looks like a bunch of dots and there is really some image hidden inside.I don't even know what manga is, so maybe that's my whole problem with T__T.
I'm pretty sure it's not a manga-deficit issue.(Manga are Japanese comics, or that style, which is no longer exclusively from Japan. I just read a manga-style Canadian comic called Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life.)
I'd never seen that glyph before this thread, but I think it's glaring too, once it's pointed out.
The horizontal lines are closed eyes, the descending lines tears, with the bottommost part being the little bulge of teardrop. You can't see that?
I get what you're saying, but I still don't think it looks like crying. Maybe because there is no nose with snot dripping from it. How about this:T T
?

Oh forget it.
I can do a bunny too!
