Mods - could we please have a thread for Birdbox as per request below. (on phone so I can't link the book sorry)

Sounds good, Sarah. Just post when you're ready (or close to ready) and we can see if we can coordinate.

Joi - There is already a thread for The Girl on the Train. It is planned to start today (Feb 9th). You can join the discussion here. Some of us are planning to join later, probably in March sometime.
Kristie wrote: "Is anyone still planning to read The Wonder of All Things? The thread was set up for Feb 4th, but I can't start until the 7th. I haven't seen anyone on the thread though. Anyone wan..."Hi Kristie,
I haven't 'buddy read' with anyone yet and am looking forward to it. I could read this book along with you but I noticed you've already started. I have to get the book and wouldn't be able to start until Thursday. Would that work or are you sailing through?

Hi Charlena! I'm hoping to finish on Saturday for a read-a-thon I'm participating in, but I'm not sure if I will be able to read it that quickly. Laura is also reading it and won't have the book until Thursday, so that will be perfect timing for you. Please do join the discussion. The two of us will still be discussing it, even if I do finish sooner.
I'd like to challenge myself and read The Girl Next Door by Jack Ketchum, but I'm not brave enough to read it by myself. I'd really like to read this with someone. I can start reading it anytime but March would suit me better (gives me more time to work up my courage)
Amy wrote: "I'd like to challenge myself and read The Girl Next Door by Jack Ketchum, but I'm not brave enough to read it by myself. I'd really like to read this with someone. I can start readin..."When do you want to read it?

I have been slowly reading through Stephen King's book in chronological order. I am up to
and thought it might be fun to make this a buddy read if anyone is interested. I haven't purchased my copy yet but I would like to figure out a schedule and come up with discussion questions if that interests anyone as well. Looking to start March 1st.
i am about to start a buddy read of Foxglove Summer with a friend if anyone else wanted to join in i have set up a page for it
I want to start a buddy read for the story The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson.I would like to start it sometime next month, preferably after March 2 (I have tests that day so yeah)
Thanks!
I want to do The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson, and I would like to start it anytime next month, preferably after March 2 (I have tests that day). Please tell me if you're interested! Thanks :)

Many of the reviews suggest that the writing is excellent, even if the subject matter is horrendous.
I read The Girl Next Door in high school. Too bad you can't unread something or erase scenes from your memory. Good luck.
erghh I read that last year sometime, and in audio!**shudder**
I think it makes it worse knowing that it is a true story!
LadyLuna wrote: "I want to do The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson, and I would like to start it anytime next month, preferably after March 2 (I have tests that day). Please tell me if you're interested! Thanks :)"I'd be interested in reading it then :)
Justin, that is how I feel about the book The End of Alice. I have this book on my TBR- maybe I should skip it just in case!
Justin wrote: "I read The Girl Next Door in high school. Too bad you can't unread something or erase scenes from your memory. Good luck."I gave the book 4 stars. I read about the real life incident of it. A lot about it actually. It was actually worst than the book. I was on a reading binge of true serial killers and crimes at the time. I wanted a book that would scare the hell out of me. People said to read this and it would freak me out. Nope. It takes a lot to do that to me. I get more upset when an animal is killed or tortured than humans. I have yet to find a good freak me out book. Ketchum make the book more Hollywood for me. I felt like it was much like Stand By Me(ish) (The Body). I'm reading his book, Old Flames.

and
. All are twisted adult murder mystery stories. Oh, and the edgiest ghost story I've read in a long time was Heart-Shaped Box by Stephen King's son. Okay, now I'm looking at my horror bookshelf and Revenge of the Witch is a great scary YA book, but probably not enough for you. And some people are really taken by the YA Gone series, but it wasn't really my favorite. And 2 classics would be It and The Silence of the Lambs
I am in the midst of
and it's such a strange book that I want to discuss it, but I'm late to the party, so reading buddies, please come back and comment with me:https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

LadyLuna wrote: "Great Krystal! Ill notify you then :)"I'd be willing to join you two if you'd like a third!
LadyLuna wrote: "Sure! Um, March 25? Will that be ok?"Ok I'll set it up, but you can start any time.
This one, right?

I have a copy that a friend loaned me, but I'm currently in the middle of a book. How about starting on Monday? :)
