I think I can in March Kristie.

Sounds good, Sarah. Just post when you're ready (or close to ready) and we can see if we can coordinate.

I'll join in with this one as well

I'll read girl on the train

Hi Kristie,
I haven't 'buddy read' with anyone yet and am looking forward to it. I could read this book along with you but I noticed you've already started. I have to get the book and wouldn't be able to start until Thursday. Would that work or are you sailing through?

Hi Charlena! I'm hoping to finish on Saturday for a read-a-thon I'm participating in, but I'm not sure if I will be able to read it that quickly. Laura is also reading it and won't have the book until Thursday, so that will be perfect timing for you. Please do join the discussion. The two of us will still be discussing it, even if I do finish sooner.

When do you want to read it?

We'd like a BR thread for

Start Date: February 22nd
Participants: Danielle, Katie, Myself and anyone else who wants to join!
Thanks so much!

Can Danielle and I have a thread for

How does March 7 suit?

I would like to start it sometime next month, preferably after March 2 (I have tests that day so yeah)
Thanks!

You are a brave woman indeed. I tried reading this book and became physically ill a few chapters in. I couldn't finish it.

That's what I'm afraid of. I'm hoping by mixing it in with other books I might get through it. Many of the reviews suggest that the writing is excellent, even if the subject matter is horrendous.

**shudder**
I think it makes it worse knowing that it is a true story!

I'd be interested in reading it then :)

I gave the book 4 stars. I read about the real life incident of it. A lot about it actually. It was actually worst than the book. I was on a reading binge of true serial killers and crimes at the time. I wanted a book that would scare the hell out of me. People said to read this and it would freak me out. Nope. It takes a lot to do that to me. I get more upset when an animal is killed or tortured than humans. I have yet to find a good freak me out book. Ketchum make the book more Hollywood for me. I felt like it was much like Stand By Me(ish) (The Body). I'm reading his book, Old Flames.

It usually takes a lot to make me squirm. The 3 books in the recent past that come to mind are:

Okay, now I'm looking at my horror bookshelf and Revenge of the Witch is a great scary YA book, but probably not enough for you. And some people are really taken by the YA Gone series, but it wasn't really my favorite. And 2 classics would be It and The Silence of the Lambs

Do you have date in mind so I can set up thread for you?

I'd be willing to join you two if you'd like a third!

Ok I'll set it up, but you can start any time.
This one, right?

Thanks. I enjoy Joe Hill. I am reading a few of his books. I will for sure will read Heartsick.

I would like to start it sometime next month, preferably after March 2 (I have tests that day so yeah)
Thanks!"
i would do this but probably after 12th march and would love if a few more people joined

I just finished one by Jandy Nelson and would love to read another, count me in. :)

Alex - I've just started that last month, but I'm only on Carrie. We may sync up in a bit.
