What about Mark Lawrence or Michael J. Sullivan? I've had both these guys in my TBR pile for a while now.
Jenny (Reading Envy) wrote: "I'd also be interested in reviews with anthologists like John Joseph Adams, Jonathan Strahan, Jeff and Ann VanderMeer, but I might be weird."If so, I share your weirdness. I'd add David G. Hartwell to that list, though.

Mark wrote: "Terry Goodkind. I am soon to start book 3 and would love to here him on S&L."Nooo! Quit while you are ahead, don't make the same mistake I did and read all ~12 telling yourself each time that the next one must get better :) It's all downhill after book 1+2
Pierce Brown author of "Red Rising" and the forthcoming "Golden Son." You could time it in January when his new book comes out. As far as authors go, because he's so fresh on the scene, he'd probably be fairly easy to track down.
Seconding Niven and Pournelle. They're pretty accessible, if anything, show up at a LASFS meeting and ask nicely.I would absolutely love to see Neil Gaiman, but he is a lot less accessible.
Maybe Gail Carriger, if you want to do a Steampunk episode.
I believe they did an interview with Gail Carrigar in the 2nd season. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it was a lot of fun, you should go watch it! :)

You already did that in post 33...We're already on reruns?
Then again Tamahome brought him up in post 38, but he's over 100 years old and probably forgot. Or maybe he's hoping to keep that name fresh in T&V's minds. :-D
If that's the case consider me on that bandwagon. It would be extra awesome if they got Fiona Staples too..

I've found in the case of this group it's shorter than that.
I've seen people post stuff repeating something 1-2 posts ahead of them only hours old..

I am not sure what has been said here but I would really like you guys to interview Terry Goodkinds. That would be a good interview. I have only read Debt of bones, Wizards first rule and Stone of tears, but never the less........ I am looking forward to your Daniel H Wilson interview. I have just read Robopocolypse and Robogenisis, so it was a delightful suprise to here about this up coming interview.
You should interview Brad R. Torgersen and/or Larry Correia. And you should definitely ask them about Sad Puppies 3. Dare ya.https://bradrtorgersen.wordpress.com/...
How about one or two of the higher profile SF editors of short fiction?John Joseph Adams, Neil Clarke, Jonathan Strahan, Ellen Datlow, Ann Vandermeer?
Or there are people like Adam Roberts or Nina Allan who are probably as well known as critics as writers but are pretty fine writers.
Several people have suggested Rachel Aaron, aka Rachel Bach, and I would like to add my vote to that. Would love to see her on the podcast! Also, since Vaginal Fantasy is reading Fortune's Pawn in March, now would be the perfect timing to have her on. *hint hint* Veronica!
It's already mentioned earlier in the thread but I still really hope for Mark Lawrence and Michael Sullivan :)
Margaret AtwoodEmily St. John Mandel (how the heck was Station Eleven not a pick?)
Lauren Beukes
Adam Sternbergh
Haruki Murakami (not sure he speaks English)
Love Charlie Jane Anders, wish her website covered more books but I guess articles about comics and movies are what get the clicks. I stopped going to io9 because it was too difficult to skim past the 19 articles I didn't care about to find the one that interested me.

You could do like I do and use an RSS Reader. But I'm sure Google got rid of theirs for a reason and that I'm part of a dying breed of nerd who reads the web that way.
But I find it a very quick way to browse their stories as they are posted and only read the few I'm interested in.

Yeah, I find the io9 site itself too annoying (especially when they changed their commenting system like 3 times in 6 months or something).RSS readers are the best. It's the only way I read webcomics, and it's great for various blogs, even if I have to search hard for the RSS feed link sometimes (seriously, the B&N SF&F Blog doesn't post their RSS feed in a place I can find it...)
io9 has gotten more and more clickbaity in the past year which is a huge turn-off for me but I still read it.I think CJA has interesting insight and opinions on various SFF topics and mediums, from publishing to novels to pop-culture to being the editor-in-chief of io9.
Dara wrote: "I think CJA has interesting insight and opinions on various SFF topics and mediums, from publishing to novels to pop-culture to being the editor-in-chief of io9."I think she's the best pop sci-fi critic around, at least to my knowledge. I just jealously want her to focus on what i care about instead of all that other stuff :p

:-) Agreed. Her articles are always my favorite.
Peter Newman (runpetewrite.com). His debut novel The Vagrant will be released in April and I'm looking forward to it.He is married to Emma Newman that I put forward earlier as an interviewee.
Sky wrote: "It's already mentioned earlier in the thread but I still really hope for Mark Lawrence and Michael Sullivan :)"I'd love to do the show. I'm a big fan. Just watched the interview with Peter V. Brett (fellow Del Rey author)and Brian McClellan (fellow Orbit author). Veronica and Tom, have your people call my people. Oh wait, I don't have people...just drop me a message ;-)
He's also got his first book of the new series Rhune coming out in June...Now would be a good time to interview ;)https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...

Charlie Jane will definitely be on the show in the very near future, we already spoke about it!
