I was fortunate enough to get to listen to Brian Jacques speak at a book signing once. I think it's just him; he is so... so... charismatic. I think it's his style that is so intriguing, it's solid, exciting. And of course... there's always the food. I think meadow cream is just a variant of clotted or whipped cream by the way.
... you just have to mention scones, and im in XD

There should be a book signing tour schedual on the website ( www.redwall.org ). That's how I found a time when he was in my neck of the woods anyway.

I tried the fake stuff for the first time yesterday and I didn't care for it. I haven't tried the real stuff and I don't think I ever will, lol.

Myself, I like the action. He takes you in and you are there with Martin as he swings that marvelous sword or with the hares as they charge into battle. Oh, and I like the food descriptions too (anyone know what meadow cream is anyway??)
Curious on the thoughts of others...
