SOLVED: A book I read in 7th grade [s]

I've been going crazy about this book title. I read it in 7th grade, which was about 10 years ago, though I was probably too young at the time to fully understand.

This is what I can remember: a young guy falls in love with a girl he meets on the bus. She smells like lemons. Eventually, they sleep together. The book is told from his recollection as he's about to commit suicide (taking blue pills, I believe).

Do you remember what the cover looked like at all?

I believe that it was a pale blue with a lighter blue, small heart in center...it was probably around 120pgs, pretty thin
