I read this hardback book at the library in the mid-1980s. It's a chapter book. The cover had a cartoonish drawing of the neighbors and one of them had curly red hair, I think. The main character is a middle-grade kid who visits his crazy neighbors. The neighbors have an orange juice fountain in their home, they draw murals on the walls, they eat their dinner "family style" from the same pot with big utensils instead of spoons. I think it's called "Me and the Crazy People" but google hasn't been helpful.
