Leah Heath I would recommend:
-Snow like ashes
-Young Elites (that book was awesome:)
-Endgame:The Calling
-Tiger's Curse by Colleen Houck (This is my favorite series)

phoebe I would recommend The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer series! The storyline is scary and funny (a lot like The Darkest Minds) and the main boy character reminds me a lot of Liam! If you liked The Darkest Minds you'll love the Mara Dyer series. :)

Lauren I have read almost all of those. Could you recommend something a bit less popular

Shelby How about Reconstructing Amelia? It's technically an adult fiction novel but it has a definite YA feel to it. And it's unpredictable and totally mysterious.

Others I would recommend:
Graceling by Kristin Cashore
The Giver by Lois Lowry
How Not to be Popular by Jennifer Ziegler (this is a hilarious read but I don't see people talking about it)

Lauren Alright thanks!

Lilly The Graceling was a good one I liked that book

Lilly "Graceling" without the The in there lol

You're welcome!

 ■©atherine■ All Our Yesterdays
This is a dystopian and time travel book. It is a standalone. I don't know if you love villains but there's some interesting one in it. ;) And heroine is pretty awesome too.

Afifah Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake, it has 2 books in series, the second book titled Girl of Nightmare, but I would recommended you to just read the first and forget about the second because the second was very dissapointed.

Elias You should read UnWind by Neal Shusterman I find in regards to plot it has a lot in common with TDM

Sarah Anne Lilly wrote: "the 100 by kass morgan

OMG i loved perfected:)

Such a great book

Sarah Anne Definitely the Raven Boys series
There is not a lot of swearing and if there is it is like one time

none of the other stuff either...
The main girl character can't kiss anyone...

Afifah Morgan wrote: "You should read UnWind by Neal Shusterman I find in regards to plot it has a lot in common with TDM"

Yess, I have read Unwind too, it's great novel, cant wait for the sequel. I know all the books are already published, but in my country, it's just the first book. :(

JuliaG It's not YA but Wool Omnibus and the rest of the Silo Series are so good and I think a little less well-known than most of the other recommendations.

Sophia Also Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder is great. You'll love it.

Kin I think you should try Black City by Elizabeth Richards, it isn't that popular Black City (Black City, #1) by Elizabeth Richards

And have you read the Darkest Powers series by Kelly Armstrong?

message 28: by Matt (new) - rated it 4 stars

Matt Wellner Red Rising, By: Pierce Brown
Ready Player One, By: Ernest Cline
Partials, By: Dan Wells
Steelheart, By: Brandon Sanderson
Graceling, By: Kristin Cashore
The Testing, By: Joelle Charbonneau
Birthmarked, By: Caragh M. O'Brien

These are all Fantastic Novels... All of them are trilogies except for Ready Player One.

Oooh, yes Cinder is good. :) But I would wait for the final installment to be released this October (I think) so that you can marathon the entire series. If not, you'll be very anxiously awaiting book four because cliffhangers are a thing. Also, I Graceling is awesome, as many lovely people have pointed out. The two companion novels, Fire and Bitterblue, aren't as good, which is a shame, but it doesn't matter because Graceling is like a stand alone. I hope you find a novel you like, and happy reading!
