I’ve been reading The Silence of the Girls by Pat Barker. It’s pretty good. If you liked The Song of Achilles or Circe, you will probably enjoy this.
Oh, it pains me to say this, but I did not enjoy
Pieces of Her by Karin Slaughter much at all. My spoiler free review https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... and on my blog sandysbookaday.wordpress.com https://sandysbookaday.wordpress.com/...
In the middle of The Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain. Loving it so much right now! I keep seeing other reviews raving about it and that makes me want to finish it even quicker!
Jessica wrote: "In the middle of The Dream Daughter by Diane Chamberlain. Loving it so much right now! I keep seeing other reviews raving about it and that makes me want to finish it..."Oh, man! I have too many books in my queue, but now I've got to add one more!
I just finished The Raging Ones and finished Bellewether a couple of weeks ago. Next up is the new Dean Koontz book and Fire & Heist. Their release days are pretty far off yet so I won’t start them until it’s closer to the release.
Just read The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy. New mothers, a baby abducted, a mystery many will enjoy.
3.5★ My review

I usually read them in order of pub date, though.

A Double LifeI wasn’t sure about it to begin with, but I’m getting into it now.
This one is on my reading list.
Rejoice, A Knife to the Heart. It's brilliant so far. A little talky in spots, but really thought provoking.
Just finished Perfect Liars by Rebecca Reid, about a group of incredibly horrible “friends”. I loved it!https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Rhesus X: Blood Is Thicker Than Water
I enjoyed this one. I bought it originally for 99p the other week but then I discovered it was on Net Galley too until October.
The book is Sci Fi/Horror. It's an original story and well put together.

Sounds good.
Does the book hold up to be read as a stand alone? Or should they be read in order?

It does work well as a standalone. You do see the characters from the other books but they are only seen in passing and don't play any major role in this book.

I'm behind on several of my NetGalley titles. I just started reading Sister of Mine
I currently have the following titles on my shelf that I need to read, anyone else have these, and if so, anyone interested in a buddy read? I really need to get through some of these.

The Crime Mysteries Thrillers group is about to start reading and discussing Orphan X, if that’s of any interest. Here’s a link to the discussion WITH spoilers. There is also a discussion without them.

Thank you.
Just read Power to the Princess by Vita Weinstein Murrow. Get rid of the Disney and the poor grammar and it could have potential.
