Michelle, you might like Dead Witch Walking The hollows series by Kim Harrison. It has 13 books in the series, the lead character is the same in every book. It has vampires, werewolves, witches.....and a other supernaturals in it.

Regan (regansummers) | 34 comments It looks like you're aiming more toward paranormal romance than urban fantasy with the series you've mentioned, but having the same protagonist in every book is definitely more common in urban fantasy.

Jenn Bennett's Arcadia Bell series features the same couple throughout. They're a lot of fun. Kindling the Moon (Arcadia Bell, #1) by Jenn Bennett

Eleri Stone's Twilight of the Gods Demon Crossings (Twilight of the Gods, #1) by Eleri Stone features the same characters in all the books, but the protagonist couples change with each title.

Jax Garren's Beauty and the Beast books are romantic and feature the same couple. How Beauty Met the Beast (Tales of the Underlight, #1) by Jax Garren

Kelleigh (goodreadscomsunshine2047) | 9 comments Must reads:

The Fever series by Karen Marie Moning

The Night Huntress Series by Jeanene Frost

The Elemental Mystery series ( can't remember the author)

These are all amazing reads and my top favs!

message 9: by Tammy (new)

Tammy | 42 comments I'm gonna go ahead and third Kate Daniels and Cassie Palmer.

I'd suggest Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione because it seems like you may enjoy pnr and the same characters are throughout the series. The brothers are demons.

The Elemental Mystery series is written by Elizabeth Hunter
A Hidden Fire is free on Amazon Kindle!! A Hidden Fire (Elemental Mysteries, #1) by Elizabeth Hunter

message 11: by Jalilah (new)

Jalilah I nominate Under MySkin Wildings #1 by Charles de Lint Under MySkin: Wildings #1 by Charles de Lint.
It is the first book of a great fun and fast paced YA Trilogy!

For the past six months, something has been happening to young people in Santa Feliz. Week after week, there's news of another teen changing shape, transforming from human to wild animal and back again. The federal government has stepped in, running public service announcements calling for affected youth to turn themselves in for "orientation and training."

Josh Saunders has seen the news reports, but he is still unprepared when it happens to him. One minute he's arguing with his mother's boyfriend and the next, he is looming over the man, blood dripping from his claws—he has transformed into a mountain lion. When he switches back to his human body, he knows his life has changed forever. He has become a Wildling.

Here's another vote for Charles de Lint. He's terrific.

message 14: by Ahnya (new)

Ahnya I second or third the Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning. Although after book 5 the main character switches.

message 15: by Lokki (new)

Lokki (lokki8) | 18 comments I definitely would also recommend the Fever series, just stop after book 5. As far as I'm concerned that's when Moning should have stopped too.

I read Iced, and I am going to give Burned a shot, but I think you might be right.

Beth Huh, maybe I'll have to give the Fever series another try. I wasn't impressed at all with the first book. The main character seemed flat and halfway through I found myself unable to remember her name when not actively reading. Didn't like the first Kate Daniels book either, but for a different reason -- she and the story were so over-the-top it seemed like a parody of the genre.

However, I just finished this book -- the first in a new series by Sarah Fine -- and thought it was great! Not only was it well-written with relateable characters, but their world and lives were different from anything I've seen before:

Marked (Servants of Fate, #1) by Sarah Fine

It's not a 3-book series yet but the second one will be released later this year.

I agree with others that The Hollows series by Kim Harrison is good too.

message 18: by Barbara (sbear) (new)

Barbara (sbear) | 5 comments I just read the first book of the Dowser series on Kindle, and I loved it so much that I immediately ordered the other two in the trilogy. The author is Meghan Ciana Doidge. The first one was very well written, showed world building that I haven't seen elsewhere, and there's lots of action, plot twists, and mysteries. This is urban fantasy, not paranormal romance, although I have nothing against the romances.
