Also reading The Knife of Never Letting Go, which despite the annoying writing is growing on me.

A.L. Butcher (alb2012) | 167 comments Poets in Hell which is about half way through.
Not totally sure what to read after that. I have a Beowulf translation by Tolkein which has been staring at me a while so maybe that.

Scott (thekeeblertree) Second City of Stairs. A really refreshing read, very original.

I haven't read City of Stairs yet, but everything else of Bennett's that I've read has been great, and I'm very curious to see how he handles secondary-world fantasy.

But I probably have to read his American Elsewhere first, even though it's completely unrelated.

Just finished myself. A very nice read, and the ending is satisfying -- no cliff hanger.

Scott (thekeeblertree) @Joseph: I thought he did an excellent job. I really dig his writing style and he has some very interesting characters in it. Definitely not the typical protagonist.

It was the first of his I read and have since read The Troupe, which I very much enjoyed as well. Just found Mr. Shivers at the used bookstore tonight. Excited to check it out
