I read a book ages ago about a journalist who goes to interview someone and he turns out to be a werewolf, she begins to develop a sort of relationship with him and she later stumbles on to the truth that they are werewolves after spending the night there (non sexually) and she later becomes a target by other werewolves going as far as to be attacked in her home city. However after she is rescued (in the next book I think) it is discovered that she has a dormant werewolf gene.
