I read this book about 14 years ago in 2004 or 2005. Its a bunch of chapters and each one tells a second -person perspective of what happens to your body and its systems in an extreme environment. I remember there was a jungle one, a deep sea one, possibly a mountain one. Its kind of a light read with some interesting science. Anyone know which book this is? Its not 'Surviving the Extremes'

Deep Survival: Who Lives, Who Dies, and Why by Laurence Gonzales. It was published in 2004.

If it's not this one, do you remember anything about the cover? And was this a book for adults? (just checking because there seem to be some for kids too).
