One's gotta go:
1. New book smell
2. New book spine crack
3. Old book smell
4. Books with spine memory (opening to a favorite page because it's reviewed so often)

I don't think my old books open on pages that I loved to read but rather pages I put the book down on when needing to do something quickly. :/

2. Liking the world building
3. Liking the overall story premise
4. Liking the villain's motivation (good enough you'd consider the villain's point of view)

Horror books have left me content with evil just being evil or accepting that the evil is there for a stupid reason. Plus, most of the time the villain's motivation is power or revenge, might be refreshing to have something less likable as the motive.
One's gotta go:
1. Books at bedtime
2. Commute reading
3. Vacation reading
4. Mundane task reading (including at work!)
*Note: audiobooks are still reading!

Commute reading for me. I don't really have one, and the days I do, I actually have to know what's going on (RTO WAS A MISTAKE!!!)

One's gotta go:
1. Comfort reads
2. Hot off the presses reads
3. Translated works
4. Fan service editions (i.e. illustrated versions or otherwise arty/more content added editions of favorite works)

I love ASOIAF so I won't vote for that even if he'll never finish it and Brandon Sanderson is one of my favorite authors. I guess Harry Potter would be my second option to get rid of, but it did get tons of kids to start reading supposedly lol. And everyone in my gaming either is or was (until her anti-trans statements) a huge fan of the series.
