This is the discussion thread for A tap on the window, lead by Mary. Thank you Mary

Mary Beth I actually haven't read this book yet, but ever since I picked up the first book by this author, I was hooked. I've read every book by Barclay but this one and his newest one. I have never been disappointed by one of his books. All of his books are very well worth reading and am dying to read this one.

Mary Beth This book is very suspenseful! It's a real page turner! I could not put it down last night. I am already half way through it and started it last night. It's an awesome thrill of a ride.

Corvida | 1 comments I'm looking forward to reading this. I've always meant to try Linwood Barclay. I just got it & I'll start it tonight!

Mary Beth I really think that you will like it, I can't seem to put it down.

Sandysbookaday (taking a midwinter break) (sandyj21) | 2209 comments And I am picking up my copy from the library this afternoon if I can sneak out for a few minutes....

Mary Beth The book is great, it has a lot of action and suspense throughout the book so far. I really can't say what is about because it would give it away, can't do it without spoilers.

Mary Beth I just finished this book over the weekend and it is one thrill of a ride! It has a lot of suspense, twists and secrets, danger and intrigue. I. was so into this book that I had to come up for air! Warning: Breathe!!

Paige | 31 comments Mary I agree totally I had never read this author before! It has many twists and turns and keep you guessing all the way! I am now on page 387 and can't wait to finish! I will definatly look for another book by him. Any suggestions?

Paige

Mary Beth Yes I agree, it has you guessing that's for sure! It is also a great twist at the end and it's shocking! All of his books are so good. I would read No time for Goodbye or Trust your eyes! The only one I haven't read yet is No Safe house.

Paige | 31 comments Ok thanks!

Leslie (lesmorecats) | 72 comments As Mary and Paige indicate, it's addictive, intoxicating, you name it.
This is my second Linwood Barclay. I wasn't as thrilled by the first but definitely addicted.
Of course you KNOW he's headed for trouble when he gives a kid a lift. Then the twists start twisting.

Paige | 31 comments I am now reading "Silkworm ". It is pretty good, it takes place in London and has some different words for things, such as "Carryall" which I assume is a suitcase. The main character is a Veteran with a prosthetic leg who is a PI he is very likable. There is a murder of course and a underlying romance.

Mary Beth Leslie, I thought this book was addicting also, and if he never of given the girl a ride, the whole scenario would not have happened and that is when the suspicion and suspense and twists and turns occur, it also kept you guessing that's for sure.

Mary Beth Laima I really enjoyed No time for Goodbye also. It rocked! Just like this book did.

Mary Beth Paige, The Silkworm seems really good. I guess I'll have to read the cuckoo's calling first, am I right?

Sandysbookaday (taking a midwinter break) (sandyj21) | 2209 comments I have finished A Tap on the Windowand have posted my review. 8:D

Mary Beth Sandy, I thought it was quite predictable also, I thought I solved the whole mystery, until I found out who did it, I was shocked, and I was wrong, I would of never of guessed that that person would of done it. It blew me away. Also with the thought of there not being enough good people left in this world, I've never came across in a thriller or mystery where the person who had done it was, they usually are quite evil. I really enjoyed this one!

Paige, did you read The Cuckoo's Calling?
It is the book before Silkworm and introduces us to the characters - a great read. 8:D
