I'm not sure when everyone else plans to start this one, but my plan is to start the 25th or 26th. I'm committed to several other books earlier in the month.

I'll be starting Swan Song today. I also started Crossroads of Twilight yesterday, so I'm not sure if I'll alternate or set one aside to concentrate on the other. I guess I'll play it by ear.

I'm about 10% in - it's readable enough, but (kinda unavoidably) feels a lot like The Stand.

Karina,I rather agree with you, and so far I liked The Stand much more. I do see that many people rate it 5 stars, so hopefully it will pick up soon.

Boy's Life by the same author was a great read, so I keep hoping. :p Finding it easy to get sidetracked by other books, right now, though.

I'm now just about 1/4 done and keep waiting for the 5 star read to pop up. Just not lovin' it yet. I don't like to give up on books, but I will likely start reading some other books in between chunks of this one.

Okay, I take it back! I've now read over 1/3 of the book, and after a slow start, it's getting quite interesting. I'm sticking with this one now!

I've got a little over 15 hours to go on the audiobook. I have no plans for this weekend other than re-organizing my study, so chances are I'll finish tomorrow.

(view spoiler)[The story has now advanced 7 years, and we're learning what has become of our key characters in that time. I like the story lines of Sister Creep, Swan, and Josh. Colonel Macklin and Roland Croninger are still turn-offs for me...the reason I initially didn't care much for the book. I dislike Roland even more than the creature originally introduced as Doyle Halland, or "The man with the Red Eye." (hide spoiler)]

I did finish Swan Song today but am dealing with computer issues. I'll write up some impressions in the next couple of days.

Oh, I've neglected this, sorry! Took an extended break from the book to finish a couple of others, but am back on track now - will be done by the end of the week, for sure.

(And I agree with your comment under the spoiler tag, completely. Part of the reason I put the book away for a while was I just didn't want to spend time with some of those characters, heh.)
