For some reason, I was sure they would be posted today so it was a bit disappointing to realize that I had one more day to wait!

It is tomorrow here in my part of the world. I always have to remember to push the dates forward by one day.

And don’t forget....even when it is results day.....it’s not usually posted until late afternoon or early evening. So we’ve still got quite a lot of waiting to do! :)

The poll was posted on the 24th at 7am Goodreads time (which seems to correspond to PDT), so in all fairness, it should be open for 6 more hours 😉

I'm wondering if it would make sense to make the post about the poll something like...

Voting will open on 8/24 at 4 p.m. EST
Voting will close on 8/29 at 4 p.m. EST
Results will be posted on 8/30 no later than 6 p.m. EST

It just seems that every week we're expecting the results to be posted first thing on the day the voting ends, but in reality the poll might still be open for many hours and then the mods still have to do all the calculating and posting.

Just a thought. :)

I think it’s not a bad idea to be clearer about the exact end time of the poll. But it’s hard to take a commitment about the result publishing time since we don’t know what can happen in our busy lives.

My point was not so much to have exact times but to state that the results will be posted a day later than the poll closes. We're all expecting results on the morning it says it will be posted but in reality the poll is still open and the mods still have to calculate the results.

Just a suggestion to help prevent all of us overly eager folks from pestering you about where the results are. :)

That’s how we handle it now :)

Results were posted on the 29th, at least for the EST or PST.
