Yeah I just finished it Tracy and honestly I struggled through most of this book. I think it's safe for me to say I don't really like this author's writing. I tried her Guild Hunters series and didn't like that at all. So I'd heard that readers that didn't like GH preferred this one. But for me, not the case. I mean this one was better than GH for me, but still didn't care for it really. Mostly it bored me so I struggled with it. Oh well, as we say, different strokes for different folks and all that :)

That's interesting because for me this world without feelings seems impossible so I found the world building fascinating. I think that's why I enjoyed it. I'm debating reading the next one though or something else I have no idea what I'm in the mood for.

Yeah I was told that they get better as they go and that books 10 & 11 are the best but I feel like honestly with all of the gamillion books we have sitting in our tbrs if something doesn't entice me enough from the get go why am I going to force myself to drudge through it until I get to a really good one?? That makes no sense to me really. I dunno LOL! Maybe it'll catch me again on another off day and I'll give the next one a try and see hahahaha!

Yeah Danielle that's what kept me in it too. Found that part interesting. It just wasn't all that great to lure me into a whole series commitment right now, but who knows :) maybe in the future I might get tempted into trying book 2 LOL!

I'm under the impression there is a story arc through the series with regard to the Psy and their silence whatever thingy lol. Now that it appears each book. A Psy goes for a changeling and has emotions that's gotta shake up the council.

I'm thinking in terms similar to BDB being that if you don't read the book you might miss key points to the overall story.

I'm onto book 2 and it's not bad. We get to see Sascha and Lucas still and now we have another Psy to the mix we also got to have a glimpse into the council meeting this time. I'm only to chapter 6

In the Dark Hunters you meet other characters in them but you don't really miss anything, if that makes sense.

I am at book 12 Belkis but I'm reading them all together. The Dream Hunters and Hell Raisers as well. She has a list that mixes them together. The dream hunters aren't as good as the dark hunters though.

Definitely makes sense some are like that I think this one isn't, but so far I've only heard mention of what happened in book 1.

Nah, maybe you're not in the mood for it. I have difficulty with contemp romance, I enjoy some but not all and some things that people love superly I don't. Great example is John Greens Paper Towns I HATED the book, I read the whole damn thing to know what's going on but at the end of it I was like it was soooooo stupid. Others think tats literary gold.

I'm enjoying the second book so far there hasn't been any actual sex, Vaughn is thinking it, but nothing there. They are taking it much more slowly due to Faiths way of life. She's been isolated all her life so they have to go slowly.

Ok if you want more into the overall story this book definitely gives you that but towards the end of the story for this particular book. I found it interesting and informative into the way the council thinks as well as finding out a crapload of more info about the NetMind about the council about others about a lot.

Me too Tracy. Thanks for letting us know Danielle. I think my initial reaction with this author was on track for me. Her writing just doesn't do it for me. Oh well, we tried. We have mountains of books waiting for their turn so it's aokay :)
