September is BANNED BOOK Month!
This month, you are challenged to go forth and read a book (or several) that The Man doesn't want you to read! Any book that has been banned from a school or a library will count. For suggestions on reading material for this challenge, feel welcome to visit these Listopia links: Best Banned and/or Censored Books or Banned Books 2007-2008 or The Most Frequently Challenged Books (or any other list you find, these are just examples/suggestions.)

Challenge Levels:
Rebel Without a Clue: 1-3 books
Rebel Without a Cause: 4-6 books
Rebel Rebel: 7-9 books
Rebel Yell: 10+ books

You can sign-up now but don't start reading until September 1st. Happy Reading!

Well, I've already read quite a few, all unknowing. :) Philip Pullman, JK Rowling, Lord of the Flies, Gone with the Wind, To Kill a Mockingbird and Alexander Solzhenitsyn - and that's just the first page of the list......

I have, too. There are some books that I don't understand why they are on the list. It is interesting to see what has made the list. I hope you join the challenge.

I know some of the Banned Books so don't make sense. I assume that is because the animals talk.
