A Grimm Warning
question
A tiny flaw regarding dragon eggs?

On page 384-5 Alex says to Hagetta, "He [the Masked Man] promised the general he could take them to a dragon egg."
How would Alex know about the dragon egg? What she learned from Gretel in her prison cell (p291-2) was that the Masked Man knows where to find a dragon, nothing about an egg.
By the Hagetta chapter, the reader knows about the dragon egg from the "An Icy Trade" chapter, but Alex wouldn't.
I think Alex was meant to stop at, "He promised the general he could take them to a dragon," which surely seems impossible, and then Hagetta drops the bombshell, "There have always been rumors that there were one or two eggs left behind."
