I read this book in the early 70’s, checked out from my school library, but it seems like the book was old then. I would guess it was published in the 40’s or 50’s, but I am not sure and it could be older than that. It’s largely a coming of age story about the daughter in a family. An older brother may be away fighting in WWI. It’s either American or Canadian and it seems like the book ends with the first Armistice Day parade. I have racked my brain for years trying to remember the title. Any help appreciated!

I don’t think that’s it. It seems like the girl is younger, perhaps preteen to young teen and ends when she is around 15, maybe? Thank you, though!
