It means both the fine and performing arts and also cultures around the world of which fine and performing arts are just one part. However, we got on the music/art roll here :)
When I was still homeschooling my kids I did a Music and Geography group class so I could combine the two with some map work--it was fun, since a friend suggested I invite different people in to share their music and that was a win-win.
Both of those are very united in my mind, and one doesn't really exist without the other (not that I have any sort of bias in the matter ;) ). I can't see any way to truly understand a culture without hearing their music and seeing their visual art at the very least, or to understand the latter without knowing any of the meaning you mean.
Voted-none of them thrill me I have something for each from the lists, but the Art and Culture Lists really do not ring true to me-Paranormal it is
The voting deadline is rapidly approaching. It's an "every vote counts" situation, so please don't forget to vote, vote, vote.
I went ahead and cast my vote, so we'll see :) It might be an unpopular choice though.
Hopefully I didn't waste votes!
So, if anyone really wants one more than the others, they should through extra votes in! it sounds as is the whole choice is up to the next few voters!
Ah, a little excitement! I remember when this happened before. You asked the people who voted for the last place tag. to vote again for one of the top 2. If this happens, can we make the voting period short? I'm happy with any of the tags, but I like to plan ahead and get my library requests in early (especially for the Trim book).
Nancy, we are always sure to leave you several days to make a plan and get books from the library. Most members are planners and we totally relate to that!We have done the revote many times and Anita has it down to a science!

I am with you Meli! Not sure if I await these announcements for the tag and challenges so that I can then go down a rabbit hole looking for books-Or if it is all the conversation that takes place with the announcements that I love-LOL

It's both for me too.
I haven't been hitting the tag as much recently, but I still love the voting and discussion process. I LIVE for the trim reveal :P
Me tooooooo Meli! You have reminded me that I still need to read this month’s. I’ve been terrible at reporting this year, but at least I know within myself that I’ve kept up.
(I posted on the revoting thread too.)If there is a tie (or very close to it), would it be out of the question to select cultural for September and Paranormal for October? October is a very popular time for paranormal reads. Otherwise, the 2nd place tag might not come up for a very long time, which would be a shame because they're both very popular with our group.
Or, is there already a Fall challenge for Halloween related books?
