Seems to be working so far, although people are taking it as if it's more points, when really it's exactly the same ratio XD Like every page amount gets more points, so the 12 points for 600pg is exactly the same as the 6 points for 600 pages because everything else has been increased too (if that makes any sense)

But it is more points. For example has a 580 something page edition, which is now 11 points over 5 (22 to 10 with a BR) . Thats more then double. I see the same ratio with some books, but not all.

Oh yeah it is more points with the 50pg increments, so it is more fair. I think I prefer the 50pg intervals!

The idea was that it would be fairer, and would also be easier to give points without having to give half points, making it easier for people to earn points from graphic novels and poetry etc.

Well, if it were between 500-549 pages, the ratio would be the same. So it's not always more points. The method is more fair, like Sarah said, without having to deal with any .5 stuff.

Yup. For the new 50 points thing you just add a number on. So for 450 aditions just put , 45

Yeah but if it is say 462 Pgs then you get nothing back so that can take longer.

I'm okay if it's like just 10 editions. Any more than that and I start to strain my eyes. I haven't really trialed this yet. I just learned I could. :)

There’s a hack? Haha I literally search through all of the pages of editions, which works out a lot for Popular books like Harry Potter 😝

Yup.

Go to page editions
press ctrl f
a box will appear in the top right.
type in comma space (, ) [dont use brackets] and then the number.
So like 4 if you want to find the 400 page editions.
On the right hand side you will see little yellow lines on the scroll bar. Those are the editions. You have to do this for every page make sure you are using max results available for each page. :)

@Shae: When you search, change the page to '100 editions' at the bottom, and then press 'Ctrl + F' and type ', 3' with the space, to find editions with 300 pages. If you're looking for 400pg editions, then ', 4' etc, hopefully that makes sense XD

Yeah. It can be a bit more work sometimes. But it mostly just saves my eyes.

Random Question... But how do audio book readers mark their BR updates. For example, I'm reading a book which is 600 pages via audio and I have no idea what percentage or page I'm at aside from the disc number I'm on???

Normally there's a way to check which % you're at. How are you listening? I know with Libby you click on the Chapter Title or length remaining or however it's updating your progress, and you can click through until you get to %

Yeah it’s actual cd audio so unless I know and/or remember the chapter number I get confused lol I wasn’t sure how everyone else did it 🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s just these dang books with chapters that are like fifty or more pages make it difficult to track

I update per quarter with all my thoughts, whether it's a physical or audio, so maybe that could be an option for this?

I use the Audible app and, if it doesn't have chapter numbers (like with Illuminae), I just calculate the percentage. You know, Number-of-minutes-listened-to divided by Total-minutes into 100.

Hii, I have a query. I'm currently reading Children's Writers' and Artists' Yearbook 2019 (it won't load to add the book as a link right now). The book has over 70 essays inside it. Mainly, though, it has pages and pages of agents contacts, which I'll be going through but not actually reading. It also also has some areas I won't be reading at all. I obviously don't want to count the pages I won't be reading or just flipping through, but can I count a portion of the novel (the page count for the essays) or is it best not to count it at all, for this challenge?
