I started to read this series years ago and never got the chance to finish it. I've been dying to know what happens! The story opens with the kingdom being overthrown, killing all royalty. The main girl is just a baby, and a guard switches her out for another one so they think the baby is dead. Then I think he raises her on a farm, and she ends up meeting the captain of the new ruler's guard (also the second born prince) somehow and they start to fall for each other. Neither of them know she's the rightful heir to the throne! The prince's older brother, heir to the throne, is a horrible person. A womanizer, a man hoe, daddy's favorite, and he does everything he can to make his brother miserable. So when he finds out his brother likes a girl, he makes her his own fiance: she isn't exactly left with a choice. So then she's living in the castle with the guy she likes and the king she hates, engaged to a horrible man. Please if you know the author or title or series let me know, you'd be filling my afternoon with joy lol.
