‘Mr. ...’s ghosts’ incomplete title, need the name of the Mr

This is a book recommended by several newspapers including the Guardian and Sunday times. It’s about a man that is struggling with post traumatic stress after returning from the war. He moves to a remote town and meets a mysterious man that is fighting his own demons too. It sounded great and I didn’t have 4g on the shop to scan it and I honestly thought it would be easier to search the book once at home... help!
