SOLVED. A Middle School Book I Can't Remember. [s]

I'm trying to look for a book about a boy who had to stay at his father's house for a bit or so, considering his parents are divorced. I don't know the title, but I know there was a weird drawing of a boy with blonde hair. I also remember how the boy calls his mom who's always at the salon. 

I would appreciate if someone knows what I'm talking about. That would be great. Thank you!

Let me clarify. There was a picture of a boy with blonde hair somewhere on the cover of the book. I read it in middle school, so I'm not sure if anyone is familiar with it. If you are familiar with the book, PLEASE let me know.

Also, they weren't asking for additional information; just to put some of the details in the header. Instead of "A Middle School Book I Can't Remember," something to effect of "YA: Boy with divorced parents lives with dad; mom always at salon. Read around [date range]."
