     ~The Candy Factory World Challenge~
Rules: Pick your reading level for the month of October, selecting from the following categories (you may choose a category more than once, if you desire). You may have two Reader’s Choices, or more, if you have more than three books that fall into the other categories. Also, you may use the “Spell-it-Out” option.

Duration: October 1st to 31st.

Levels:
1-2 - Easy
3-5 - Medium
6-9 - Harder
10 or more - Hardest
Categories:

1. Balisto (Italy): A wholemeal biscuit snack bar from Italy which comes in a green, white and brown wrapper. Read a book which takes place in Italy, Italy is mentioned, or has an Italian character. Or read a book with green, white and brown on the cover.

2. Cheong Woo Pumpkin Candy (Korea): A pumpkin treat from Korea with a pumpkin on the wrapper. Read a book that takes in Korea, Korea is mentioned, there is a Korean character. Or read a book in honor of Halloween: witches, ghosts, is scary, or has the colors of Halloween on the cover.

3. PunschPraliner (Sweden):- This snowcap-like candy hails from Sweden. Read a book that takes place in Sweden, mentions Sweden, or has a Swedish character. Or has a white cover.

4. Carambar Caramel (France): A chewy caramel candy from France in a yellow wrapper. Read a book which takes place in France, has a French character, or mentions France. Or has a red and yellow cover.

5. Elite Popping Milk Chocolate (Israel): Israel's top selling candy brand, this milk chocolate candy bar is mixed with popping candy which comes in a red wrapper with a cow on the wrapper. Read a book set in Israel, with a character from Israel, or Israel is mentioned. Or a book which takes place where cows can be found, etc. farm, ranch, grazing in an open field.

6. Violetas (Spain): Spain's sugar coated violets are a tasty treat in a violet and silver wrapper. Read a book set in Spain, with a character from Spain, Spain is mentioned. Or a book with violets or flowers on the cover.

7. Lees' Scottish Tablet (Scotland): This candy from Scotland is a butterscotch-fudge concoction found in a blue and plaid wrapper. Read a book set in Scotland, has a character who is Scottish, or where Scotland is mentioned. Or a book with plaid on the cover.

8. Violet Crumble (Australia): This candy bar hails from Australia and is a delicious milk chocolate covered honeycomb found in a violet wrapper with gold writing. Read a book set in Australia, has an Australian character, or Australia is mentioned. Or a book with a gold cover.

9. Coronado Goat Milk Lollipops (Mexico): This lollipop, made from goat's milk, hails from Mexico and can be found in a brownish-red wrapper. Read a book set in Mexico, with a character from Mexico, or Mexico is mentioned. Or, in honor of lollipops, read a book where a child plays a major role in the story.

10. M&Ms (USA): These bite-sized chocolate covered chocolate, pretzels, or peanut treats hail from USA and come in a variety of colors. Read any book set in America, with an American character, or America is mentioned. Or read a book with a colorful cover (must have at least 5 different colors on the cover).

11. Cadbury Wunderbar (Canada): Cadbury creamy peanut butter light rice crisps and chewy caramel smothered in milk chocolate From Canada. Read a book set in Canada, there is a Canadian character, or Canada is mentioned. Or read a book with yellow and blue on the cover.

12. Ick Factor: Now that you've had your share of treats. Now its time for a trick. How adventurous are you....are you up for a dare?!?! Read a book with an ick factor to it: a taboo topic [example - incest], grizzly murder, child kidnappings, etc.

13. Ichabod Crane: We can’t have Halloween without mentioning the tale of the Headless Horseman. So, find a book with either a horse, a headless person...{Seems publishers are always doing that to Romance bookcovers lately!}...or both of these on the cover. Or a book that features a ghost - or any character from the “Great Beyond.”
