I can do the prickly thing on cover - I found one with a cactus on it. Which other task is the least likely to fit with you guys? The movie list or Mediterranean author? I can do either. Or something else, I don't mind.

For me, I definitely don’t have Mediterranean author.
Sassafrass wrote: "if the author just had to be born there, I'll take it."Hmm, task says "from the Mediterranean", so sounds to me like born there is all that's required. But I could be wrong.
Finished my last I book. Please could someone add the date read to the spreadsheet? Thanks!Waiting on the start of round 4 now.

Will do.
Round 4 has started.Mods have posted that there are 200 bonus points on offer for finishing Countdown tasks before a timer is set to complete them.
Since Archangel's War isn't out until tomorrow I'll grab task 3 with Quiet Man, 256 pages. I'll get that started today. :)

Finished Charlotte's Web - I'll mark it read and stuff later. I have a "cranky neighbour" book which should work for the grumpy character book, so I'm starting that. It's another really short one so shouldn't take long.
Finished pub’d 4th last night and adventure book now. I’ll add a screenshot of adventure book, as MPG is last showing at moment.

If it's ok with everyone (as it'll take me a couple of days), I could take the R in Brown and read The Great Zoo of China (R author) which Eldarwen of the Chipmunks read in round 2. Happily reading other things until countdown is done though. We're way ahead of ourselves so far this round. I did pick very short books for the countdown.

I didn’t read Prophecy last year, for War to come out this year. How I kept not reading, I don’t know. I’m leaving both for Tower.
Should have noticed this earlier, but there was some discussion in the "does this book work" thread about the Mediterranean author task- split two on each side of whether just born there was enough to work. I would've come down on born there was enough, as the wording is not that specific. Shrug.
So we may get singed on Frank Capra. Do we want to find something else, or risk it and regenerate the points if we need to? I *think* we can regenerate points lost in this round within the round.

It was!!! You have an iron will, Danielle. I don't know how people put off reading their favorite series, but I can't do it. :P
I'm going to quickly read The Portrait as a possible replacement for the Mediterranean author. Scribd says it should only take an hour to read - have you guys already started your safe zone books?I may be being too paranoid, but it's nice being joint first, don't want to mess that up!
I haven't started an SZ books. I have no idea what to read. Did we get all the BOM requirements done yet?
Finished The Portrait - author born and lives in Paris, and writes in French. That has to work! Can update the spreadsheet later but it's ok to start safe zone books now.
We've got the two books needed for BOM/read by other team so you can concentrate on letters only for zone 1, Sass.
Sass, for SZ1 the letters available are B or O/N (my book works for either letter). Both BOM requirements have been found.

Don't feel bad, Sass, you read it in good faith. We all thought it worked at the time. I hope it was an enjoyable read, anyway. :(
Looking ahead to SZ2 and who can do which tasks.i - Read a book with brown writing on the cover where the title contains at least four of the letters in E-C-H-I-D-N-A
ii - Read a book with a brown cover (>50%) where the author's name contains at least four of the letters in E-C-H-I-D-N-A
iii - Read a book with a natural setting on the cover and that contains the word ANIMAL in the text
iv - Read a book with a brown item (something that can be touched) on the cover and that contains at least four of the letters of E-C-H-I-D-N-A in the author's name
I've finished my b book as well. I'll look to zone 2.I've got one for iii that I can read quickly. Does anyone mind if I take that.
I'll be gone for the weekend and won't be able to get much (if any) reading done until Monday so I'd like to get my choice out of the way tonight if possible.
There’s no problem with you taking that task, you can’t finish the book until Katie and Sarah finish their Zone 1 books. Is that ok?
