I think I'll be holding things up again for zone 2- I don't mind in the least if one of you has something that will fit for task iv and wants to take it. I'll still start the book and we can use it (or not) for zone 3.
I'll be done with the other zone 2 book in a couple of hours. if Sarah hasn't finished by then we can use it. But if she is, it's no big deal.
Thanks Sass! I was only a third of the way through, might not have finished before tomorrow. That's the problem with 'real' books, I find kindle so much easier. I think I'll just pick one task out of zones 1 and 2 next round, unless I find really short ones.

Ha ha, I finished my Y book hours ago but hadn't got around to doing anything about it. It's on my read shelf but I can't update the spreadsheet until later. We are done then?! I keep checking every now and then to see if round 3 tasks are up.

This round is infinitely harder for me. I'll have to see what I have.ETA: I found on on the foreign lands list that I want to read and need for another challenge anyway, if that's ok.
If amateur detectives are allowed, I have a freebie that has languished for many a year on my kindle that will work for task 7. I've asked the question in the volcanologist thread. Fingers crossed!

Ok.
Amateur detectives are not allowed, so my original find doesn't work for task 7. I've had a rummage around on KU and found one that will work, so I'll still take task 7 as my first countdown book.
My detective book is short but awful. Hopefully I'll be finished with it today, so I could take a couple of days to read the next one without holding the countdown up, hopefully. I'd like to do task 4 next and I'll read a French author if no-one else is pining for that task.

I am working on my foreign lands book. I'm about halfway at this point. It's a depressing book so I stopped reading and went for fluff and finished task #9 because it was quick and easy. :)
@Danielle. I'm thinking you may be going for a third book? Will you let me know if you want MPG crime or 1980s. My next book works for either so I'm easy!
Finished my Jules Verne book, but can't add the date read until later. Are we doing safe zone 1 again? Seems to make sense points wise. I have a book ready for task iv of zone 2, depending on which zone we do first.

We start off by shouting "The Floor is Lava! In 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1-0!"
By the time the counter is 0, the floor is Lava and if your team hasn't read the required books, [that is, the 10 books in the countdown stage], your team will be stuck in the lava (i.e. lose points).
ZERO for round 3 is Friday 13th Sept, 9pm AEST
