Finished. I'll try to find something for Group 2.

Yeah, I just wanted to double check just in case. You never know what the mods are thinking. :P Thanks! I'll go ahead and claim that one then.
I had a moment of doubt and I've switched my book. It's a slightly longer one, but I'm more sure that it'll work. The task isn't completely clear if the lava letters all have to be in red or if there only has to be red text somewhere on the cover. My first book only had half of lava in red and half in black, so I've switched to an all red lava. Better safe than burnt feet. Probably won't finish it until tomorrow now, though.
Finished:
Fire Touchedlava is pouring out on the cover and page 19: "...spitting lava and looking scary."
Sorry to hold you guys up (since I know Sarah will be done this morning). I should finish later today....fingers crossed. :P
Sassafrass wrote: "So, after we do this what is next?"We can start books now for stage 3, the spell out, just not finish them before we complete Stage 2. We’ll have to decide on the best words to do. There’s a tab on the spreadsheet with the words we can choose. We have to look at which words for the best ones to go with.
ok, thanks. now last question...what is this thing about raising our level? Are we going to need to do that. the SS saids we are at Molten level.
We signed up for Crater (21-40 books per fortnight). The Molten level on SS is calculated off the books we have read so far, when we read over 21 books, it will change to Crater.

I'm finished at last. Too much chopping and changing so I didn't get much read yesterday.
- and it even had lava in the text.
Sorry for the late finish, but my book is finally on the sheet! I've gotta run some errands today and clean because family is visiting for Labor Day weekend (I HATE cleaning...). I'll pop back in to pick a book for the spell outs later today. Hope you're all having a great weekend! :)
Katie wrote: "So, what word/s are we doing?"Not decided so far I think. I've added a sheet where we can track the books we've read so far for group 3 (largely stolen from Cat's tracking sheets) so we can see what we have and shuffle as needed.
I've had a rough couple days in terms of reading. Lots of Dr. appointments and back to school stuff. I'm hoping to get a book finished tonight. :)
Hope you're feeling better, Katie. I've been slower as well the last couple of days.Great work on the spreadsheet, Danielle. At least, I'm guessing it was you? I've added my currently reading to the tracking as they cover an N and an O (or two Ns).
Round 2 tasks are up - it's all about the acid this time. I'd like to claim the US state in title task for my first countdown book. I'll just see what's left when I'm done with that. Might have visitors by then so I won't risk claiming more than one.
Finished Night Train to Lisbon which is on the tracking sheet. Had a bit of a real life crisis yesterday which is still ongoing and don't know when I'll next manage to get on the laptop. It might be that after I've finished the other book on the tracking sheet I just post here and hopefully one of you will be able to find the book on my read shelf and add to spreadsheet with the link.
Katie wrote: "For round 2 - 3, 7, 8, 9 or 10 would all be doable for me. :)"Nice. You can choose which you want to read :)
Finished Once Bitten - it's on the tracking sheet. Do we still need Os? I think I should have one in my next book.
Managed a squint at the spreadsheet and I think you probably won't need another book from me as I might not finish until Sunday and there's a good chance we'll have enough books by then. I'm still reading, and will report if I finish anything, but mainly I'll just be waiting to start the next countdown when we start round 2.
I'll get an "A" book done since that's what's missing.finished When Dimple Met Rishi. it's on the sheet.
Countdown to start do Round 2. Books cannot be started for round until after R2 starts.

So looking ahead to safezone tasks (which cannot be started until after Countdown tasks completed), we need to decide if we are doing SZ1 and/or SZ2. I think it’s worth doing SZ1 this round, as there is a bonus 50 points awarded if they are completed.
SZ1 -
spell out ACID (two letters from ACID to be books which another team read for the challenge or a current/previous BOM)
check BOM tab on this spreadsheet for past BOM
A
C
I
D - Sarah (previous BOM)
SZ2 -
i - Read a book with green writing on the cover where the title contains the letters A-C-I-D (doesn't need to be in that order)
ii - Read a book with a bright/neon green cover (>50%) where the author contains the letters B-U-R-N (doesn't need to be in that order)
iii - Read a book with something nasty on the cover (open to interpretation) and that contains the word LEMON in the text or title
iv - Read a book with a green item on the cover and that contains the letters A-C-I-D in the author's name (doesn't need to be in that order)
SZ3 -
The words with the better point value have quite a few Y, O, U, I, N, between 3 - 5 of each letter. Happy going with these letters/words?
Great reading everyone. Sorry I faded at the end. I have downloaded the library books for the countdown so I am ready for Monday.I have found a prior BOM for SZ1 (yes, I think we should do it this time) and posted all my books in the spreadsheet without links as I don't know the correct editions yet. I'll try and add links as needed but who knows how the week will go.
I'm happy to go with whatever letters have the best point value, it doesn't matter what they are.
