For the "person’s name in the title” pick for the August book of the month, the group will be reading Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.

For more information about the Book of the Month, see the introduction post

* Part 1 - Chapters 1-6
* Part 2 - Chapters 7-13
* Part 3 - Chapters 14-20
* Part 4 - Chapters 21-27

Mods will provide one, slightly guided question. Discussion will then be completely open. If you have any questions yourself, feel free to post them. Subsequent comments can then answer whichever questions they find to be inspiring.

Question: What do you think of the book so far? Reactions?

Bec | 1341 comments Ok I've finished. I was expecting more. After the build up of the last few chapters I was really getting excited about it, and I felt disappointed with the ending. I was expecting more of a twist I guess. And I felt it kinda just ended....

Milena (milenas) | 760 comments It did end really abruptly. Still loved it.

Stephanie | 93 comments I thought the second half of the book was really good, it just took too many boring chapters to get there. I actually liked the ending - the writing on the last few pages was amazing and a fitting end for these characters.

That pretty much sums up my feelings as well.

I'm glad I've read it. I don't need to read it again, especially as now I know the twists and turns.

In my opinion one of the best books I've ever read.

Sophie (sawphie) | 2826 comments I feel like one more chapter would have been good to tie things together, or to bring us back to the first chapters when she explains their current situation. But it was a really good book and the audio version was fantastic!

Milena (milenas) | 760 comments I liked the unexpectedness of the abrupt ending.
