I need help....

I am looking for a book series that I read a few years ago and now I can't find it. I don't remember the author or title, but I do remember what the cover(s) looked like. The first book had two books in one. The cover art was a blue-purple rose with a black background. One of the stories was about a girl who moved back into her hometown with her aunt and cousins. Her mom had for crazy after what I believe to be her sister drowned. The second story was about a different girl but the same town, she moved in with one of her older relatives who was filthy rich. I think it was her grandmother. There she found out that her mother's sister was murdered. There was a guy who was involved in the story somehow... As I said, it was a while ago. Please let me know if you have any idea what the title was. I believe it was one or two adjectives. The second book, which also had two stories in it, I never read but it had the image of an old key that was either orange or something similar...
