An old-school horror/vampire novel where the vampires are pure monsters (rather than love interests). A small town in Virginia (Storberry) is overrun by vampires. A small group of surviving townsfolk band together to try to save themselves before their town disappears.
The story has a slow build, with am emphasis on character building.
The audience Storberry will most appeal to will be monster movie and novel fans, and those who appreciate a focus on characters. There is a fair amount of gore in spots, but nothing too squeamish.

Your story sounds very intriguing! I prefer stories where vampires are pure monsters or at least have a nasty tendency to them. All the new style vampires make me rather angry lol

I went for pure horror, Jessica. I wanted a monster that reminded me of Nosferatu and Mr. Barlow from the TV version of Salem's Lot.
If you decide to check it out, please let me know what you think. I'll be here. :)

Hello Aaron, I don't believe we have met yet. Please make sure you introduce yourself in the topic Greetings, new members!
Do you have a published book you'd like to advertise here in the Authors topic?

I don't have anything published yet, but I am in the process of finishing two YA fantasy adventures with fairy creatures and a contemporary romance. I could definitely use a couple of beta readers to give me critiques.
I am also available for anybody who needs reviews on books that fit my tastes (fantasy, sci-fi, romance but not erotica, and horror)!
My bad!
I have moved the folder up in Discussions so it is more visible and also edited the main post in this topic, it was obviously not clear what was expected :S
I am sure you have noticed by now in other groups there is a folder meant for authors to open a topic whenever they want to promote a book; that was the initial idea behind this folder, just didn't explain myself too well... Hope it's clearer now!

Hi Duncan, please create a topic in this folder to promote your book by following the instructions in the first post of this thread - if you just post here it will not be as viewed as much.

Hi, Thanks Ana! - I think I've done it now!
I thought I had created a 'topic' but it was only a 'comment' - sorry!
My pleasure, I'd just like you to reach as many people as possible :)
Thank you for using Book Lair to promote your books, best wishes to you!

Hello, Karl, and thank you for posting. Feel free to open a new topic in this folder to promote your book, as it will most likely get more views.
I love the Algarve! Last time I was there I stayed at Quarteira. I adored it and wish I was there right now!

Hi, Ana, Quarteira what a lovely town, remember it well. I loved watching all the elderly Portuguese Gentlemen, sit and play cards and dominoes just outside the little museum on the seafront.
Ah yes, that is a typical view throughout the entire country :)
I loved walking next to the beach on Quarteira, there were a lot of nice restaurants and shops and yummy ice cream ^_^
The weather always seems to be great there so I hope one day I can go back.
Best luck with your book!

Dear authors, this folder is for you!
If you would like to introduce your books, please open a topic for each work you are promoting.
Step 1: Click new topic in the top right of the folder Authors Corner.
Step 2: Choose title. You can write just the book title or the genre or both, whatever you think may call most attention.
Step 3: Don't forget to add your book to the appropriate box (the one which says This topic is about) when creating the topic. Doing this will allow the topic to show up in the book page, which will attrack more readers and reviewers to it.
Step 4: In the topic description, please give a brief summary of your work, which audience(s) it is mostly aimed at, any promotions you are holding and whatever other info you find relevant.
You are welcome but not required to promote your book(s) through read for review requests. If you do, make sure you mention how you want the interested reviewers to get back to you - by replying to the book topic or via alternate means (message, email, etc).
Reviewers:
If an author offers you a free copy of their book, please read it as soon as possible and post a full review here on GoodReads. If the author asks you to post one elsewhere and you are able to, please do so as well.
Do NOT share the book with anyone else.
Please make sure you read this: https://www.goodreads.com/review/guid...
And finally no money should be exchanged in the process of reading for rating programs.
Happy reading and rating!
