Claudette | 4 comments Regency era. The plot of the book starts when a woman (daughter of a ship fleet owner) father dies and she sets sail to England to marry her fiance'. Only to discover that her father had lied to her about his feelings for her. She had a violin and a pair of earrings that her father gave to her that he told her was from her fiance'(a titled Lord of some kind) only they were not. In order to get her inheritance she has to marry him and because he owed her father a debt he marries her. The hero worked on one of her father's ships in his youth and that is how they met, she was a young girl at the time. He somehow destroyed a doll of hers.

I read this over a year ago but I do not know if it was a new release or not. I know not really helpful.

I could give more of the plot but not sure what constitutes a spoiler. All this happens fairly early in the book.

I would appreciate any assistance anyone can give me.
Thanks

Claudette--this is one of the few groups in GR where spoilers are almost required, since often it's the spoilers that help find the book.

If you want to post a spoiler, but are still worried, you can "hide" it by typing <*spoiler> the spoiler <*/spoiler>. Just take out the * (view spoiler).
