I always say that Mark Twain is easy and fun for a beginner, but if you liked Wilde you should try his "The Importance of Being Ernest." It's a play, so it's a little different to read, but it's very clever. It's one of my favorites!
If your not afraid of big books, The Three Musketeers is always a fun read.1984, Animal Farm and the Importance of Being Earnest are all very good choices, I love these books.
If you liked the Picture of Dorian Gray, you might also like Edgar Allan Poe's short stories.
The Count of Monte Cristo is fantastic. (actually, pretty much anything by Alexander Dumas is excellent if you like adventure). If you love mysteries, who-done-it, then check out Agatha Christie, or The Moonstone The Complete Sherlock Holmes
Some more recommendation please. I liked To kill a Mockingbird,Animal farm ,oliver twist and The book thief
Can't go wrong with Mark Twain. Dicken's David Copperfield is a favorite of mine. If you like Science Fiction I would recommend The Foundation Trilogy by Asimov, Childhood's End by Clarke and anything by Ray Bradbury. I would also recommend anything by Kurt Vonnegut.
Since you liked The Picture of Dorian Gray you should try The Phantom of the Opera. Also, I would recommend Brave New World, since you liked Animal Farm.
Ruth is right you can try any of Kurt Vonnegut's books and you won't regret it. I would recommend Lord of the Flies by William Golding too.
I suggest that you read The Grapes of Wrath (1939) by John Steinbeck. I liked this novel so much that I then read six more books by Steinbeck.
