2018 book? A man is given 8 chances to solve Anna's murder. Her hero comes back each day as a different guest in the manor. The first is a doctor who is a drug dealer. The butler is beaten by a guest. Another guest is a very fat Lord who plays chess. The footman is the villain, he appears in masquerade attire. There is a character named Evelyn ("Evie"), she has a brother named Michael. Her parents blame her for the death of her younger brother. If hero doesn't solve Anna's murder, the cycle will repeat itself. 2 guests are competing against him, although he doesn't know whom.
