SOLVED. Scottish heroine and English hero. [s]

The Scottish heroine is dressed as a boy and her brother his soldiers captured and then placed in a cage in the middle of a courtyard by English hero. Then the hero’s friend tells him why don’t you makes them fix the keep and the hero notices that they always gather around the young boy and then he realizes that he is a boy and is made to live in the keep the she tries to escape and help her brother but the gets caught her brother is getting sick and needs a healer. The hero then marries her then her brother and soldiers escape and then someone shoots and arrow or stabs the hero and the heroine is trying to help him.

No it’s not untamed, but thank you this sounds like a good book.

I just remembered that she goes to fight with her brother and his men against the English taking over a castle near them and so they end up defeated and captured as prisoners the heroine Scottish Lass is dressed as a boy and all of her kin is protecting her in the pit they are place in. The hero keeps being suspicious as to why they all do the work and help and protect the skinny boy which is the heroine dressed as a boy. I know that the hero and his friend are always watching them through the window and his friend tells him that he should make them all rebuild the keep so all the prisoners outside in the pit start carrying the stone. The heroines brother does end up getting sick and the heroine is worried at this point the hero thinks that the heroine brother is her lover since he doesn’t know that it’s her brother. I do remember that the English hero figures out the heroine is a girl and she keeps trying to escape from the room that he placed her in.

Are you sure she's scottish and not viking or some such. My mind keeps going to Johanna Lindsey or someone along those lines.
