Rozelle Ann (rzellearl) | 6 comments I read this book back in my childhood. I vaguely remember it was about these groups of kids who were all in the same school. However, I remember the main plot of the book was that these children discovered bone-like particles in the food that had been served in the cafeteria. One day, one of the students were eating (I believe it was chicken nuggets but I could be wrong) and he spit out the bone particles which then led to the mystery that these kids were trying to solve. The whole books goes on about who could have possibly added these bone like particles. I think they also suspect specific people like the lunch lady or the principal. I also remember the children coordinating a thorough plan to be able to catch the said person in the act. I forget who it actually is in the end.
However, for more on the description of the book, I remember it being filled with illustrations. The cover was a dark, kind of forest green book. I remember there was multiple characters that were on the cover but I only remember two specific characters which was one blonde kid who has on a blue, long sleeve shirt and I navy pants. There was also a girl who has black long hair who wore a pink long sleeve shirt with black pants. I read this around 2007-2010? It was a while back.

Rozelle Ann (rzellearl) | 6 comments Unfortunately no, if it helps the book also has various illustrations all throughout the book not just the cover

Rozelle Ann (rzellearl) | 6 comments No :(, but thank you! also, the main character of this book is a guy. I believe he had blonde hair in the cover.

To help eliminate books, is there any reference to "dinosaurs" in the story?

Please note you can bump your request every 30+ days - or sooner if you remember more information. Not more often because this group is so large.

Rory Marks (r0rytheroman) | 1 comments This might not be an exact match but it is super similar.

In "Back to School (Bone Chillers #3)," the kids' school gets a new lunch lady and the cafeteria food suddenly becomes addicting but questionable. I think it wound up being like monster-insect-larva that either transformed or just lived as a parasite in the kids that ate it.

The cover has some dark green on it, main character is a boy, but the cover has the lunch lady rather than the kids.
