LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What is the most recent book that you've added to your want-to-read shelf?"pew by catherine lacey
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's the most interesting place you've ever visited?"I haven't visited many places lol. I don't travel a lot. I think the most interesting place was the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park in Grand Rapids, MI. I visited it when I was in high school. It was such a cool place to explore. I'd love to go there again.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's the most interesting place you've ever visited?"i don't know that i go anywhere that anyone would consider interesting lol
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's your go-to song or playlist for when you need to feel better?"When's the last time y'all listened to Pieces of Me by Ashlee Simpson? Such a banger, and a great song to listen to when you want to feel better lol.
Other than that, I'll always listen to Queens of the Stone Age, regardless of my mood.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: If you could have any animal as a pet, what would it be and why?"Bearded dragon or a turtle. They're such interesting little creatures. I have no real reason.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: If you could have any animal as a pet, what would it be and why?"i've always wanted to keep different types of birds because i just really like them, but i've always lived in an environment where the people around me probably wouldn't appreciate how noisy they can be lol

Here are two "interesting" things about Italians. These aren't the most interesting things but they're fun to share. 1. Breaking spaghetti when you're getting ready to cook it is a big no-no. If you were to do this in front of an Italian they would be mortified. They leave the noodles whole and just let them drop into the boiling water once they are softened. That way you don't take away its main characteristic, which is that it must be twirled around the fork.
2. Talking with their hands is common for Italians. Some of you may have seen the TikTok videos with someone touching all five fingertips of their hand and moving the hand back and forth from the wrist. (Here's the emoji for the most accurate depiction: 🤌🏼) For Italians, it is typically done with the right hand and if an Italian does it in front of you, they are basically telling you that you're speaking nonsense.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's the most interesting thing you've learned about another culture?"My sister in law is eastern European and it's a big no no to wear your outside shoes past the front door.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: If you could have dinner with any celebrity, who would it be and why?"tony todd! he's such an iconic figure in horror. i'd love to just sit and talk to him about all the movies he's been in
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: If you could have dinner with any celebrity, who would it be and why?"Arnold Schwarzenegger. He has done so much in his life and is so positive. He has a great "get it done" attitude.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's the most interesting thing you've learned about another culture?"I've heard of Ramadan before, but I learned more about it from TikTok this most recent Ramadan. There is suhoor, and it's the meal eaten early in the morning before daybreak. I also didn't know that there are certain fasting times during Ramadan.
QOTD: How do you feel about books that are translated from another language, and do you seek out translated works?
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: How do you feel about books that are translated from another language, and do you seek out translated works?"i enjoy reading translated works! i don't read them as often as i should though
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: How do you feel about books that are translated from another language, and do you seek out translated works?"I don't seek them out, but I enjoy reading them. Sometimes they're hard to get through/understand because of the translation but it's not a big deal.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's your favorite way to exercise your creativity?"I love finding new hobbies. If I get bored and want to find a new way to be creative, I'll look into different hobbies to try out. I think journaling is my favorite way to get all my creative energy out though.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's your favorite way to exercise your creativity?"writing is usually my go-to
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: If you could have any type of vacation, what would it be and why?"I want to actually travel to a different state or country. I don't know or care what I'd do there, but that's the type of vacation I want. To be a tourist lol.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's your favorite outdoor activity and why?"Hiking is fun but not in the middle of summer.
I also like to sit at the park and read.
LCPL wrote: "What's your favorite form of creative expression (art, music, writing, etc.)?"I guess journaling / art. It's a fun way to take my mind off of everything and be creative.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's the most memorable concert or live performance you've attended?"Seeing Tom Petty in concert was pretty surreal. It was also right before he passed away so it made it even more special.
A live performance of Jesus Christ Superstar at an amphitheater in California. Great setting, great performance.
LCPL wrote: "What's your favorite way to celebrate personal milestones or achievements?"I don't really do anything lol. I guess go out to dinner.
LCPL wrote: "What's your favorite way to celebrate personal milestones or achievements?"Lol I don't really do anything either, and I also rarely achieve anything to celebrate
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's your favorite way to practice gratitude?"I don't really know. I guess thanking people for their help or just being there for me. I don't really write anything in a journal like that.
Lol I'm not adventurous. I moved states away from home when I was 19. I'd say that's about it for me. I've never climbed a mountain or anything lol.
Although, I do want to run a marathon at some point in my life.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's your favorite way to practice gratitude?"Sometimes I journal but I also enjoy practicing gratitude in other ways. I like to notice the beauty of nature, whether that be sunsets while driving or sunrises while enjoying a cup of hot coffee, golden hour with the sun peaking through the trees, waterfalls, being at the lake or ocean, the brightly colored leaves in the fall...there's just so much to be in awe of and it definitely inspires gratitude and brings about a sense of peace for me. I also love spending quality time with my loved ones. I love sharing experiences and making memories and just being present in the moment with the people that matter most to me. I also really enjoy slowing down and just enjoying the simple pleasures in life. It allows me to just breathe and really prioritize what matters most. I enjoy a variety of other gratitude practices but these are just some that are near and dear to me.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's the most adventurous thing you've ever done?"As far as adventurous activities go, I've played it pretty safe apparently because the most adventurous things I can think of are kayaking and hiking. Although, I'm going to try tent camping for the first time pretty soon. I'd also really love to go snorkeling.
LCPL wrote: "QOTD: What's the most beautiful place you've ever seen?"I want to travel a lot more and see some beautiful places along the way. So far the most beautiful place that I've seen has been Caladesi Island. It has palm trees, white sandy beaches, and clear blue water. It's an untouched island that offers natural delights. You can only access it through a ferry. It's so beautiful and very peaceful.
