I do not like cliffhangers. I feel like the author is trying to force me to buy their next book. No matter how good the books are (Game of Thrones) it still irritates me.
..
Harry Bosch Series by Michael Connelly
I have read two books so far.... I am reading his Mickey Haller Series too. (Three books read in that one.)
“The only thing I can tell you is that she dies promptly at 11:00 p.m. every single night.”The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton
I have read a book by Silas House called Same Sun Here. He's the only Kentucky author that I know of that I've read.
Kentucky Authors.
I have read
1. The Animators by Kayla Rae Whitaker
2. The Coal Tattoo by Silas House
Of those two, Whitaker is my favorite.
My favorite Kentucky author is Alix E. Harrow. She wrote The Ten Thousand Doors of January, The Once and Future Witches, and she has an upcoming release called A Spindle Splintered. Plus, she is super nice!
There are many, but here is one:"Yesterday afternoon the six-o'clock bus ran over Miss Bobbit."
From, Children On Their Birthdays by Truman Capote
The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed. The building was on fire, and it wasn’t my fault.
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife.
This is such a great question! I love funny first lines, so one of my favorites is "There was a boy called Eustace Clarence Scrubb, and he almost deserved it." That's from The Voyage of the Dawn Treader by C.S. Lewis. I'm not sure if I wrote it word by word exactly, because I just wrote it down from memory.
My favorite character is Sydney Carton from A Tale of Two Cities, because he seems unkind but he's actually so self-sacrificial. The ending of the book is so unbelievably good, and it's all because of Carton.

I still haven't read this book. But, it's on my TBR.

Krystyna wrote: "356. How do you feel about cliffhangers?"They're fine if it's a book in a series, but I hate when a standalone ends with a cliffhanger.
Krystyna wrote: "357. What's the last book series you started?"The Brown Sisters Trilogy by Talia Hibbert.
Krystyna wrote: "362. Who is your favorite character from any book & why?"Linus from The House in the Cerulean Sea. He experienced so much character growth, and he genuinely cared for the Marsyas orphanage and all it had to offer. I definitely appreciated reading about a character like Linus.
Krystyna wrote: "360. Have you read any books by Kentucky authors? If so, who is your favorite Kentucky author?"I read The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow. I'm pretty sure she lives in KY.

- These Is My Words: The Diary of Sarah Agnes Prine, 1881-1901 by Nancy E. Turner
- One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey
- When Kambia Elaine Flew in from Neptune by Lori Aurelia Williams
I don't listen to many podcasts, but my favorite one is The Happy Writer by Marissa Meyer. It gives me lots of tips for my writing, and I love hearing interviews from authors that I love. To be honest, though, I haven't listened to it since last year.

I listen to different podcasts. Elizabeth Gilbert had one for a bit that related to her book Big Magic. It was good. Mike Rowe is always great to listen to. I also listen to Cog Hill Family Farm podcast too.
I wonder if podcasts are a younger generation thing. I do not listen to any at all. But, I will look into some of them listed here.

I enjoy listening to podcasts but I don't listen to them as much as I used to. I need to pick them back up.

I listen to a couple, but I listen to other podcasts, mostly true crime. Do you listen to non-bookish podcasts?

I know people of all ages that enjoy podcasts. I think it is just about discovering them and what kind of podcasts you like. I really enjoy true crime podcasts. There are also some great bookish podcasts that I enjoy as well.

I was going to say Small Favors by Erin Craig, but then I remembered that it will be released in July. I can't wait!
..
- Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid. This is the author of Daisy Jones & The Six which I greatly enjoyed.
- The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot by Marianne Cronin. This is a debut novel, but it looks really good.

Vivian wrote: "Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell or the Giant Days series by John Allison."That one was so much fun to read. I’m so glad Krystyna recommended it to me.
I just finished I Hate Fairyland and really like those too.

Very Sincerely Yours by Kerry Winfrey
A book quote will stand out to me if it's not horribly cliche or if it causes me to stop reading and think.
