SOLVED. Childrens book about a boy who babysits a little boy with a pretty girl next door. [s]

Ok, The book was about a boy, I think he was in middle school, and he was baby sitting a little boy. There was a pretty girl next door. He was taking a french class at school I think. I remember one time in the book, the french class was on a field trip, and he broke away from the group and ran over to his friend (the pretty girl next door), because he saw her crying. Near the end of the book, his class decided to get their french teacher a gift, so he found a scarf with something french on it (I can't remember what). The french class put on a Cinderella play entirely in french, and I think he was the pumpkin driver. Back stage however, the little boy that he was babysitting had come to see him I think and he had to go to the bathroom. The boy and the little boy's mom had been trying to get the little boy to use his potty, but he wouldn't. But back stage, the little boy decided that he wanted to use the potty right then. He helped the little boy use the potty (his mom was so happy), and as a result, he was late for his cue to get on stage. He still made it on, but he could see his mother's disappointed face in the audience. Basically, his mom ended up being proud of him in the end because she heard all of the nice things that he had done, like, the scarf for the teacher, teaching the boy to use the potty, the time he had run off because his friend was crying.
That's all I remember. I would really love the title of the book if anyone knows.
