Have you searched for Jumanji in the group posts? There were few other threads searching for book similar to it.

thanks.
EDIT: I checked no one found the book I was looking for. The description are similar but lead to Jumanji, The Forbidden Game and a book by MT Anderson.
That one looks very familiar, I will check it out.It also brings to mind a book with a very similar cover but was called Maze or something.
Here's a short Amazon preview of The Game of the Goose by Ursula Dubosarsky - Rosa's suggestion:
https://www.amazon.com/Game-Goose-Urs... There are different cover images.
Around what year did you read this book? This will help us narrow down the search.

I read it maybe 8 years ago.I don't remember if it was a new release or somehting old I picked up.
The cover for Game of Goose was this one, it looks like the cover for another book I am looking for called Maze or something like that but I don't remember the author for maze.
It is not the first one.The second one sounds good but is too recent to be the book.
Thanks for trying.
@ Sarah. I do not understand your comments. They have absolutely nothing to do with the topic of this thread.

I saw someone else was looking for a similar book, and it turned out to be Escape from Mr. Lemoncello's Library.
If a video game is possible, as suggested by your header (but still a long shot): Only You Can Save Mankind
The only thing I remember about the cover is I think it was blue or green.I will check out Only You Can Save Mankind and see if that is it.
It wasn't Heir Apparent.
Zathura by Chris Van Allsburg? Jumanji is also by him. Apparently Zathura is a sequel to Jumanji. Main characters are named Danny and Walter. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

Maze Runner?

Maze Runner?"
No. The cover of the Goose book looks like the Maze book I was thinking of. Maze Runner's cover looks nothing like it.
I see this thread is marked Solved with Zathura by Chris Van Allsburg in the header. Glad you found your book, Blue.
