August & September Idea Thread!

Hello creepy friends! We're gearing up for our August and September reads and we want your input. Going forward, we're going to aim to have our reads selected by the last Sunday of the full month before. Which means that this month, we're going to be picking two reads while we rework our schedule.

Throw any recommendations you'd like to read out here, and we'll be creating a poll next Sunday for our August book. We'll be pulling from this thread the following Sunday for our September pick! Feel free to put out the same ones as last month too. Same caveat as last time, anything in the dark fiction genres works but we don't do King since there are plenty of groups out there dedicated to his works.

How do you all feel about short story collections/anthologies? I have loads of horror anthologies, but I am not sure if that is something we'd like to do as one of our picks sometime, or if we would like to stick to novels as a group? Just picking your brains. ^_^

Sam sent out a message this morning letting everyone know that the August poll is up!

BUT you can feel free to keep adding suggestions here if you like, because next week after we close that poll, we will set up the poll for the September book. We want to get ahead a little bit so that our book picks will be coming out 4-6 weeks early to give everyone enough time to get their hands on the books. Which means picking our next two months now so we are prepared.
