SOLVED. Alien circus? [s]

First off I should probably mention that I am unsure of this was actually a book I read or if it was a weird dream where I read a book about this.

Could also have been a manga or similar too.

It was a bit like The Night Circus and a bit like Vampire's Assistant in that the circus performers were aliens and they had abilities like fire breathing naturally.

One of the characters was both male and female, and wore a tutu, I think?

If this is a real book the cover had fancy script on it and a circus tent.

Was it a newer book or an older book? If it's an older book, maybe Blind Voices by Tom Reamy?

I don't think the book was old maybe no older than the late 80s.

I think it was 90s or 00s couldn't be sure.

So found a book that is similar and I am going to try and read and see if it was the one I was thinking of.
