Lock Every Door by Riley Sager - Restarting October 4th 2021
I'm a bit late to this but I'm very excited to read another Riley Sager book!Chapter 5
(view spoiler)
I'm such a slacker on my physicals :( but I swear I'm diving into this book today :) It's my WFH home and after lunch it should die down so I can read

Same I think. I can't wait to see what else he writes tbh. Also agreed about the ending (view spoiler)
So I've got 3 days to finish this before the 1-month deadline is up. I feel like I can do this especially since I read Final Girls in one day (I was up till midnight and couldn't sleep until it was done).
This was my first Riley Sager book (then read the other two) and I loved it. A lot of people seemed to have preconceived notions from the first two books (they either had very high hopes for this one, or felt Sager needed to prove himself after the last two.)I like books that have both - some part of the mystery that I can play detective with and solve, and some part of it that is completely unexpected and throws me off. This book had both for me so I was super pleased!

As she gets to know the residents and staff of the Bartholomew, Jules finds herself drawn to fellow apartment sitter Ingrid, who comfortingly, disturbingly reminds her of the sister she lost eight years ago. When Ingrid confides that the Bartholomew is not what it seems and the dark history hidden beneath its gleaming facade is starting to frighten her, Jules brushes it off as a harmless ghost story . . . until the next day, when Ingrid disappears.
Searching for the truth about Ingrid's disappearance, Jules digs deeper into the Bartholomew's dark past and into the secrets kept within its walls. Her discovery that Ingrid is not the first apartment sitter to go missing at the Bartholomew pits Jules against the clock as she races to unmask a killer, expose the building's hidden past, and escape the Bartholomew before her temporary status becomes permanent.
