Why do you think Skip and Robbie agreed to participate in these murders?

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments Skip and Robbie went along for he ride. "He" had them brainwashed by showing them attention and understanding.

I think Robbie was so damaged he would have done anything for the chance to eventually kill his father. That’s what he was in it for.

Now Skip was a different matter. He wanted Cami and for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out his motivation. And, he was cold blooded and dispassionate about it. Still don’t know what was in his makeup that had him be okay with killing people.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments We really didn't get much background on Skip, did we? It's like he was just a supporting character.

No, I don’t think we did. We got glimpses from time to time but I couldn’t figure out what made him tick other than exploiting women. It didn’t explain him being able to kill with such ease.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments While Tristan was good at manipulating people, he seems to be better at it with women - Laura, Faye, Michelle (Cami). The way I understood it was that Cami recruited Skip and Robbie.

Robbie was definitely motivated by revenge against his abusive father while Skip seemed to be a closet sadist, which would explain his willingness and even eagerness to kill. That said, I agree that there isn't enough information about him to know exactly why he joined in.

Skip is one example of a character that I felt the author didn't provide enough background info on. It's like he was "there" because she needed another male character. Yes, he was recruited, but what was his motivation? This one puzzled me.

Good, I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who felt Skip was underdeveloped.
