Read-a-Thon #2 - Halfway Check-in

Challenges - Work, chores
Distractions - Getting bored with what I'm reading
2. What has been your favorite part so far? Games and activities! Also all the reading I'm doing.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? I've read three books.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? More reading! I want to get through a library book I've been putting off.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? I'm more finished on finishing certain books to meet the buckets.

2. The games have been a good mix. And all the reading.
3. I have finished 4 books already. And reading at least 200 pages daily. If only, I could stick to my planned reads.
4. Just to enjoy the rest of the read-a-thon. And help my team get as many buckets as possible.
5. Reading with a team has kept me consistent and pushing to read more.

Life in general - meeting up with friends for coffee/meals, having to cook meals myself, and other mundane activities like grocery shopping, washing etc!!
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
I've enjoyed interacting with other people in my group and working together to achieve goals.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I've finished 4 books and started 3 others.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
To get through more buckets by working with my team!
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
I've only done a couple of read-a-thons before this, and not with this group, and without teams, it all felt a bit inane, but with a group and the small tasks along the way, it seems to have a more defined purpose.
1. What challenges and distractions have you faced?
- I'm working on finishing our yearbook this week, so my eyes are straining at the computer all day... it's been hard to pick up a book after that. Plus, I've been spending so much time on the spreadsheet (willingly!) that I haven't been reading as much.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
- I love that my group guessed our first author so quickly! It's also been really fun trying to place books for the buckets.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
- I've read 3 books, including finishing another book for my 40 Before 40 list, Their Eyes Were Watching God. I feel like that was a big, dialect-heavy mountain and I climbed it!
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
- Definitely going to finish Where'd You Go, Bernadette on audio and start and finish How Not to Die Alone. I'll probably end up starting another book (and another audiobook), but I'm not too fussed if I don't finish them by Sunday. My goal was 5, so I'll hit that.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
- It's definitely pushed me to read more... committing to a book for a specific prompt has made me read that book faster so my team doesn't fall behind in buckets. I'm not entirely sure I like the pressure, but it pushed me to get through a classic quickly enough, so I can't complain.

Mainly just trying to fit reading in around work and life. There were a couple of days when I was just too tired to read much.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
Waking up each morning to see how well my team has done overnight. I live in Australia so the most reading is done while I'm sleeping and its been cool and satisfying to see the buckets get ticked off.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I have finished 2 books and have made good progress on a third.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
I don't really have any goals except to have fun and keep fitting in a little reading!
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
It's made this read-a-thon more fun and made me be more interactive than I would normally be.

Probably the biggest challenge was having to go to work every day, so I quit my job. Okay I didn't quit my job because of the challenge, that was just a coincidence. And it's worked very well!
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
I haven't really been involved with the games as much this time so I'd have to say the reading itself. The read-a-thon gave me an excuse to break from my regular reading and finish the rest of the Locke & Key graphic novel series. I have read four of them this week. I had just one more to go.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I have a read seven books for a total just over 1000 pages. Most of those pages were graphic novels so interpret that as you will.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
I have one more short graphic novel to read. I want to read The Perks of being a wallflower and The Little Prince over the next day or two as well. That will leave me with just two more spaces to fill in the individual bingo but I think I will be stopping there. I need to get back to focusing on AtY.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
I am not playing with the teams.

Work during the week. It did not help that I had a migraine on Monday so I was not able to get any reading in that evening.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
The team working together to complete the buckets.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I have finished 5 books though 2 of them I had less than a 100 pages. I also have been able to start new books as the bucket levels keep going up. I love having several books going so it is nice.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Maybe finish another book and start a another.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? It made me finish a few books so they could count towards the buckets goals. I'm better at starting books than finishing them.

Well, the anticipated, work and life in general prevents me from reading all day.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
The team challenge! I love the bucket idea and the team spirit. *Go butterflies!*
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
Well, my goal was to read as much as possible and have fun, and I have accomplished that.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Have fun and read a lot. Maybe guess an author in the team challenge?
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
It has steered some of my reading toward books that fit buckets, but it has all been books that were already part of my TBR library pile, so thats good.

Work was a little more demanding the past two days than I thought.
2. What has been your favorite part so far? I really like to see what everyone is reading and get ideas for more books.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I've read 2 books that both work on the aty challenge!
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Read at least 2 more books and get caught up on the aty challenge.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? Trying not to let my team down but whew they read even faster than I do!

2. What has been your favorite part so far? The team challenge is definitely the best part. Trying to work together to fill the buckets and guess the author.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? Lot's of reading. :)
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? Just to try and read more and to plan out y books based on the buckets to fill. Oh and to guess that second author. We are definitely going to do that.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? It has steered me towards choosing books that fit the bucket requirements.

I have found that I read more at work than at home, is if I have a busy day at work I don't get a lot of reading in.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
I love trying to work with my team to fill the buckets.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I have read 691 pages so far and finished 2 books!
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
I have 2 books on the go I want to finish and I plan to start at least one more.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
I has made me read faster to try and help fill the buckets. But that is great because I was behind on all of my reading challenges, lol

We've had a couple of spontaneous get-togethers with local family, which puts a dent in my evening reading time, but the biggest problem is that I've had trouble finding an audio book that I *really* want to listen to, so haven't gotten much reading/listening in during the day time.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
I really like the concept of 'filling buckets' for the team challenge.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I've finished three books, and have read 821 pages, which sounds like a lot more progress than I felt like I'd made. :-)
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
I would love to finish off Wives and Daughters before the end of the week, as well as just generally get back in a groove with audio books.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? As much as I enjoy it, I think it's made me a bit more stressed about choosing books! :-D It's also probably helped give me some focus though, so I'm more motivated to finish books, and start books I can finish in a reasonable amount of time.

I had some books already on my TBR and so I have had to see what prompts work for those as well and try to help. I'm not a planner at all, so it has been difficult to pace myself with what will work for the group.
2. What has been your favorite part so far? Finding new people to follow and having a group to be a part of. It's really nice.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I've read 9 books and 3371 pages.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Try to be more involved with my team and help with more of the planning

It has made me feel more part of the community.

Mainly school.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
The team challenge!
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I have finished two books.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?

It brings support to continue with the readathon and makes it more fun!

2. What has been your favorite part so far?The team work to get buckets done
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?I think I have done good so far as to getting books read.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? To finish reading 3 or more book.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? No as I always do the team read a thon

Too much work.

I enjoy the bucket aspect and strategizing to fill them in.

More reading and books than usual in a week.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Hoping to make more progress on the library stack.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
More time reading and more games to help out the team.

2. What has been your favorite part so far? Having an excuse to read, and having the encouragement to listen instead of watching TV.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? Finished my second book today

4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? I've got 2 audio books going (one is essays), but I'd like to finish another "written" book as well.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?

2. What has been your favorite part so far? The team challenge and completing so many books that have been sitting on my shelf for too long.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? I quickly finished my goal of finishing the 2 books I felt like I had been in the middle of reading forever. In addition, I've finished 2 audiobooks and 3 other books.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? It would be awesome if I could read 3 more books before the end to get to a total of 10 books.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? It has helped me decide what to read next and the prompts have given me reasons to select books from my backlog (all of which have been amazing and I'm not sure why I didn't read them earlier).

2. What has been your favorite part so far? Team work for the challenge
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? less TV, more reading
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? Finish the 2 books I am currently reading
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? Made me read more so I can help with the amount of pages needed to move forward

2. What has been your favorite part so far? The team aspects, prompts which made me look at my TBR list for potential candidates. Started Tolstoy and the Purple Chair from my TBR list for the purple cover prompt and am really loving it.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? Finished 2 books started before the read-a-thon, finished one book for the read-a-thon and have 3 other books in progress.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? Finish at least 2 of the books in progress.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? I had started a book that fit a number of the prompts in upcoming buckets. As other people checked those prompts off first, I delayed finishing the book so it could count. I was down to 2 pages to go, when we got to bucket 10, so it could count as a title with a celestial body.

Nothing more than the usual distractions - work, life, family lol
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
This is my first read-a-thon and I like the daily game alot
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
Maybe reading things that were a little farther down my priority list so that I could at least participate more.

To finish a couple more books. This activity has increased my reading from about 1/week to 2/week
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
Definitely changed what I would read and how quickly am reading.

Migraines do not work well with readathons. :( Thankfully I could still audiobook and it only lasted a day!
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
The team challenge has been a good motivator to read, plus the bucket prompts are fun to do some extra book planning to see what fits where.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I've finished five books and read over 2300 pages which is a lot more than I expected to have done.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
I have started and stopped a lot of books as we've moved between team buckets, so my goal is to actually finish some of the books already on my currently reading pile!
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
The team challenge has definitely encouraged me to pick up books that weren't already on my June TBR, but mostly I have found books to help the team that I already planned to read. Being on a team definitely gives extra motivation to keep going though.

Mainly work.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
The team challenge! I love the bucket idea and working out what to read next to fill the buckets.

Have fun and read a lot.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
I have changed what I planned to read and chosen books that fit buckets, and that were already on my TBR.

My daughter's dance schedule, my BOTM box not here yet, and not reading as fast as everyone else to get the prompts filled!
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
I love being able to talk books with a group!
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I finished a book and am halfway through another. Hopefully I will have 3 totally done, which will be good for me.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
See above
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? I haven't done the read a thon without a team, so I don't know, but I know the buckets has slowed down or sped up the reading process some.

Mostly work. Work really interferes with my reading time! LOL
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
Working with the team to fill all the buckets.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this Read-a-Thon?
I have finished four books.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the Read-a-thon?
To finish 2-3 more books.
5. If you’re playing along with a team, how has that changed your Read-a-thon? I have been looking for shorter books that help fill buckets and mark off prompts on my various reading challenges at the same time. I have also been reading so much faster than normal and I am a pretty fast reader.

Work and spending time with my little nephew - but he's a pretty cute distraction
2. What has been your favourite part so far?
I like the updated game. It's been a lot of fun
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
Three books! Two were YA and the other was short so they went pretty quickly
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Probably just finish the one I'm reading now. I have a lot of plans at the weekend which might slow me down
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
Team ladybug! The challenge has been good at helping me pick which books to tackle

Just the usual

It's so fun to play with a team
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I finished one book
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Hope to finish a second
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
I've burned out on read-a-thons before, so I'm just going at my usual pace. With so many team members and others reading fast, it takes the pressure off

2. What has been your favorite part so far? Connecting with other readers, pushing myself to read more.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? One of the books I completed helped us finish a task.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? Finally get the answer right! (Can't think of why we haven't? Seems like we are spinning in circles a bit)
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? I've had to pay attention to what others are reading and look forward more in my reading planning.

The bed bug in the library book incident derailed my reading for a few days as I did some Very Intense Cleaning and peering at things. No infestation, though, thank heavens.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
The team challenge has been really fun! I like the feeling of being a part of a team and contributing.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I've finished two books, and gotten a good start on two more. I'm finally tackling The Moonstone, which has daunted me with its 20 hours of audiobook. (So far it's super fun.)
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Keep reading! I'm reading thicker books right now, so I'll mostly just go for page count.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
I kind of already answered this, but I think it's made it a lot more fun. I also pushed through to finish a book I might have DNF'd otherwise.

5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? it gives you a push to finish books

I’ve been on vacation from work the entire time so I haven’t really had any. I was traveling one day but I got through two shorter audiobooks on planes and in airports so it didn’t hurt my reading any.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
I think the team challenge is really fun.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I’ve read 7 books. 1 was a graphic novel and 1 a middle school book but I’m still quite happy. If only I could be on vacation forever.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Maybe 2 more books. I head back to work tomorrow so it’s back to the real world.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
It’s just made me pick up books I wasn’t necessarily planning on reading this week. I didn’t have a real solid plan so it didn’t hurt anything.

work mostly

finding new books to read and giving myself an excuse to use my free time to read

a couple of the team prompts and the individual bingo game
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
keep on reading!
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
it's made it so much fun and kept me reading more than anything else

2. What has been your favorite part so far? To actually read, it has been really good to force me to stop working and enjoy time reading
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? To read almost every day, usually do it on weekend only
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? To finish at least 1 book
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? It motivates me to read more (everyone reads a lot!!) and have so much fun playing the games.

Work is busy and I wasn't super into the audiobook I was working on when the challenge started. Also, these past couple days have been too hot to focus sometimes.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
I read Penelopiada in one sitting over the weekend, and it was a 5-star read for me!
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I'm a little more caught up on the ATY challenge now.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
I have two books I'd like to finish: Arid Dreams and The Satanic Verses. I don't know if I'll finish them in time for the team challenge buckets, though.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
I've read a couple of shorter books that weren't in my initial plan to try and contribute to the buckets. I've also ended up adding books to my TBR that others on the team have read.

2. What has been your favorite part so far? I really like the games and the team challenge. So impressed with the crazy readers on my team.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? Read 2 books and started 2 others.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? I would like to finish 3 more books.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? I feel like they are reading so fast that it makes me want to try harder.

Started reading all day long for first 3 days and then fizzled out. That's not unexpected. I like slowing down.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
The team challenges and the games outside the team challenges.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I've read 3 books, will soon finish a 4th.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
To read 8-10 books in total.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
I've enjoyed working as a team to get books for the challenges, but it's a little frustrating to read a book for a specific challenge only to have the book challenge met by another book. I find the planning to be too time consuming, so I'm just working on accumulating pages read to the group. This meets my initial desire to read from my own list of planned books while still helping my team.

Not too much so far, but I currently feel like I'm coming down with a cold and/or have severe seasonal allergies, so I doubt I'll be very focused today. Other than that, I have found it a bit challenging to keep track of what is going on with my team since things are all happening so quickly. There are a lot of threads to keep up with, between all the read-a-thon activities, the voting, etc.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
I like the games, and I like that this read-a-thon is a bit different from any of the others so far, even if it is hard for me.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
Finished off Empire of Storms!
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Just to read as much as I can. Hopefully whatever this cold/allergies thing is goes away quickly.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
Not too much honestly because I've found it so difficult to keep up-to-date. Sorry to my team for not contributing as much as I probably should! I've tried to look ahead at what's needed, but it changes so fast that I can't really keep up.

2. What has been your favorite part so far? The games.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? Finished one book that I was reading and have been working on some more.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? Hopefully finish Dark Places
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? I have tried to find books that will fit prompts, but by the time I finish, someone else has finished a book for the same prompt.

2. What has been your favorite part so far? My team!
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? I have finished 3 books so far.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Finish at least one more book
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? I waited until the next day to finish a book, but I read the same books I had planned.

trouble keeping up with the challenge, kiddos last week of school activities, not feeling well, cant concentrate or follow directions lol, job interview ( realized I'm in NO shape to go back to work but I want to so bad...this sucks....)
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
Seeing my team rock the challenge
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
ummmm .... I read 2 books ( so sad) AND I GUESSED OUR AUTHOR!!!!!!
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
try and read one more book
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
I just cant wrap my brain around this question...is this a trick question? motivation to read so I dont feel horrible not contributing?? Guys my brain is really broken :/
edit omg that last question..... got it now. I havent read any read a thon books trying to do at least one category for a bucket., but not worried about it because I'm not planning on finishing this year anyways :-(
Really cant wait to see the Neuro next week, maybe he can fix me.

Work and kittens. (But the kittens are too cute!)
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
The team challenge, finding books and watching others contribute.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I’ve read over 3,000 pages and finished 11 books.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Read as many books as I can and help out with the buckets as I can.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
It’s been super fun and motivating. I like finishing off a book to hit a bucket prompt, but it is also cool to work with others and see what books they’ve finished. I also like watching my team work through the author challenge.

Work!! I’m on day 10 of a 20 day stretch 😬
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
This is my first time so I’m just enjoying the general process.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
Even with my crazy work schedule, I have been able to complete 4 books so far (thanks to audiobooks when I’m stuck going through paperwork in the office)!
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
I’d like to finish at least 2 more books and/or reach 3000 pages.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
The pressure to help fill the buckets has kept me focused on reading when I may have otherwise zoned out with some Netflix after work 😃

My biggest challenge is in keeping abreast of team activity. I am improving slowly but surely.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
I love hearing about books other people are reading.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I participated in the daily activities and read 1.5 books. The one that I finished was more than 500 pages and would have taken me more than two weeks had it not been for this event!
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
I hope to finish three books and help my team complete the tasks.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
While my first two books were predetermined, my third book will be based upon team needs!

Busy with work and getting ready for a trip and appointments.
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
Reading and working with Team Butterfly.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
I've finished 4 books and read over 1000 pages. Three more books in progress.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
Finish Tangerine. Just keep reading.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
I read some books to match the prompts rather than my own ATY challenge. I also pick up some shorter books.

Spreadsheet! Work (well, reading challenge has been more distracting to work than the other way around)
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
The joy of crossing off a bucket in the team challenge
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
Trying out the team leader thing. Have read a bit less, but still started and finished 4 books.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
I don't know, more books.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
A lot more picking up and putting down different books to try and fit tasks. As mentioned in #3, because of the strategizing, I'm spending a lot more time as team leader with the spreadsheet than I thought I would.

Not too many...but starting tomorrow my reading time will be hard to come by for a few days. :(
2. What has been your favorite part so far?
The enthusiasm of my team.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon?
More than I had expected. 1631 pages!
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?
I'll be pleased if I can finish two more books. The one I am currently working on will give me 2 for the ATY.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon?
It has been lots of fun, but it detoured me from my pre-planned monthly reading. Got to help fill those blanks.

2. What has been your favorite part so far? I like the buckets. It was fun for a different idea. Mods do a great job! All the games have been fun also. Reading All Your Perfects was good too - as in it was a good book to read.
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? I've read three books and 3/4 of the way through an audio.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon?I'd like to finish Golden Son and the audio I'm listening to. I'm not sure I'm going to get too much more done besides that due to work and my family issue.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? I switched up some of the books I was going to read so I could help with the prompts.
1. What challenges and distractions have you faced? Work Netflix/Hulu, like usual. My work schedule is light in the summer thought and I figure my TV time is good to work on graphics/spreadsheet/etc.
2. What has been your favorite part so far? I think there's been way more interaction and strategizing between the teams. I also like that we did direct competition this time because I can't help but snoop and get competitive ;)
3. What have you accomplished so far in this read-a-thon? I've read 2 books. Which is definitely good for me.
4. What are your goals for the remainder of the read-a-thon? I'd like to finish at least 2 more.
5. If you're playing along with a team, how has that changed your read-a-thon? I think feeling more accountable to the team has preventing me from "checking out" partway through the event. A lot of the time, I will stop reading as much and just focus on moderating. But I've been really feeling some reading mojo this week :)

I've seen a few comments about people being beat to the buckets. I can definitely imagine that being frustrating, especially since I read one book at a time.
My recommendation would be to look at all remaining buckets to see if your book fits more than one. Then note all applicable buckets. If someone beats you, then it just shifts down. You could also pick a book for a few buckets ahead so that there's a delay in when your team will be reaching it.
