Please always include plot details in your header, as per the Group Rules. We also need to know when you read it.

What kind of details? I think I read the book in 2015/2016

Any plot details that could help someone recognize the book. For example your title/header could read:
"Urban fantasy; protagonist is in group of mercenaries defending New Orleans. Portals were closed years ago, some groups are trying to reopen them. She gets new partner, boss might be shady."

I read this book in 2015.
The main character is part of a group( mercenaries?) that protects/defends New Orleans.
There are some portals that were closed years ago and now some groups are trying to reopen them. She gets a new partner to investigate and she has suspicions that the big boss is involved in something shady. They lost some of their personnel and our MC was attacked and almost died days before.
