I'm in London, benefiting from the concrete jungle; but it's true that today is the warmest we've had for a week or more, earlier in the week it was 10-11.
Either way: not June weather!

for us May was super bad weather wise, but now it's basically the same as at Melindam's since I suppose we live somewhat close hah.
Melindam wrote: "We are practically NEIGHBOURS, Christina. ;)"I KNOW! and the funny thing is, especially in hot summers, our little town only ever gets rain when the clouds come from Hungary!
Well, I'll make sure to send some your way as soon as the clouds are here. CAN'T HAPPEN SOON ENOUGH! Though apparently they'll arrive in style with lots od BANGS.

Indeed it's not!
Morning! I just asked to join the backroom so I can read this book for the BOM. It sounds too entertaining not to!
Alysa wrote: "Do we know yet what the July Backroom BOM will be?"
We hadn't asked for nominations, 'cos the Backroom's not been very active.
Is there interest in another Backroom BOM? Shout out here if you would be interested and, if there's sufficient groundswell of demand I'll sort out a quick nomination & polling round.

current interest: 9, plus threat of naughty maybe-red Santa book

I would be interested, assuming that all sexualities are eligible and not only Het.
Of course all sexual identities are eligible - this months is MFM (or MMF or FMM, I have no idea) after all
While looking for shifter books, I came across a couple of naughty Santa books again. Too bad I didn't add them to my wish list! Surely one of them has an actual red Santa!
I got the current back room book free on kindle, and I think I saw someone say it was free somewhere else - nook maybe.
Best way to do it, if you can't get your hands on a book, is to nominate something you CAN get your hands on, and then keep your fingers crossed ;-)
But the freebies are handy. And often hilarious(ly bad).

I'd be up for another Back Room BOM - provided it's a book I can get my hands on, of course.
I would totally suggest something slightly more mild like the Stage Dive series but I've only just reread those a couple of months ago, so I wouldn't be able to read my own suggestion :-(

Seconded.
I just joined Backroom and have thought of a thing or two to nominate. One never knows! ;D
I wonder if the lovely Mel Teshco (author of
has another book on KU. Totally nominating that if it is out there. Teehee.

Yes!

In that case, please check if it's free for non KU users as well - while you're at it.... ;-)
Thank yoouu

I'd be in for the comments if nothing else. I blame Jenny, again, for the fact I will read these books.
I have found some freebies (non KU), but I'm not as excited about them as I am about a couple of, like $2.99 titles. But of course I wouldn't want to make anyone else buy a book if it ends up being really crap. Then again, my noms hardly ever get picked for any BOMs anyway, LOL.
Anyone with access to Overdrive with a library, at least one of mine has a surprising number of explicit romances, including MM.

I'd be interested, preferably if it's another shorter KU or free/very cheap. I can't picture a well-done 500 page cheesy erotica lol

so you don't fancy The Mister, say? ;-P

There are two things I am hoping to make it through my life not experiencing. One is shopping at Ikea, and the other is reading the Fifty Shades books. So far, so good.

Right? I can't stand that stuff, so it is pretty easy. I have customers bring Ikea frames to my shop if they need a mat or something, and they are soooooo cheap! ugh.
Cat wrote: "Sonia! Quick! we need the Chipmunks to work out a 50 Shades mini-challenge!"We are doing fifty shades of brown right now, so I think we are good!

Also, I have Nordic woodland animal cookie cutters from there.

nooooo, after such a clear challenge, we might need a "Find Your Inner Goddess" mini, just for you ;-P

Lexi wrote: "Anyone with access to Overdrive with a library, at least one of mine has a surprising number of explicit romances, including MM."That is true! I snagged a couple for RSUS Challenge recently, via New York Public Library :D
But it depends so very much on some magical combination of publisher, library, and check-out availability...

I just recently read
and it wasn't so bad.. the sex scenes were kinda mild... ( I like a little more heat if I'm reading erotica)I second Eldarwen's recommendation of the Stage Dive Series
Cat wrote: "so you don't fancy The Mister, say? ;-P "
Ha, no. My friend got me to read 50 shades and while I didn't find it as obnoxious as others, the writing itself was amateurish and atrocious. I even read the sequels and they get worse instead of better. No interest in any of the author's other stuff, her writing style isn't up to par *shudders*
How about Kushiel's Dart?
Considering that it's a fairly big book (almost 1k pages) and that this wouldn't be the only book we're reading for the challenge, it would be a good idea to space it out a little more though, like over 2 weeks instead of just 1.

You must not be in Yorkshire Cat. it's 16 today, but it's the warmest day we've had in more than a week. Mostly we've been hovering around the 8-10, and the heating has been on again!
Give me 29 any day! lol.
