Erik Redin (erik_redin) | 28 comments How's everyone doing on their 2019 Reading Glasses Challenge so far?

For "read a book by a trans author": I read Ninefox Gambit by Yoon Ha Lee.

For "read a graphic novel": I've read 5 graphic novels, but the one I'll mention here is The Divided Earth by Faith Erin Hicks. It's the final book in the Nameless City trilogy and a great sendoff for the series. The Nameless City is my go-to recommendation for young comic book readers, but it's a fun read for adults as well.

Taylor Wlaschin | 1 comments I started listening to the podcast in April and I have to say, I’ve done a pretty good job at completing the reader challenge!

For the translated book, I read Hex by Thomas Olde Heuvelt (translated by Nancy Forest-Flier), and Waking Lions by Ayelet Gundar-Goshen (translated by Sondra Silverston). Thanks to World Book Day, I have 9 other translated titles loaded onto my kindle.

For the graphic novel: I’m currently reading Umbrella Academy: the Apocalypse Suite by Gerard Way (writer) Gabriel Bá (artist) and Dave Stuart (colorist). I also plan to read The Adventure Zone: Murder on the Rockport Limited once it comes out.

Finally; I chose “The Lady from the Black Lagoon” as my non-fiction book. I had no idea who Milicent Patrick was since I had never seen the Creature from the Black Lagoon. I have some Mary Roach books on my TBR as well for this category.

Ana Luisa (foxxsloth) | 2 comments Hello! Newbie to Goodreads groups, but longtime listener to Reading Glasses here! I've been trying to find the list for the reading challenge online, but am having such a hard time finding it. I know I could listen to the actual podcast episode where they first discuss it, but that would require extra effort on my part, and to be honest, I'm kind of lazy! Haha. Could someone please point this lost person in the right direction? Or shoot a link my way please? I would greatly appreciate it!

EDIT: Sooooo my friend just reminded me of this awesome thing called Google, and I found the link! Here it is for all the other fellow lazy people out there! https://www.maximumfun.org/reading-gl...
